I'm a soil ecologist and macrophotographer from the UK, now based in Christchurch, NZ, where I'm currently employed as a post-doc at the University of Canterbury.
My research specialism is the ecology of earthworms and soil microarthropods (particularly Collembola and Acari). In my spare time I document soil fauna with my camera, for science communication purposes and because they're strangely beautiful creatures!

Morbid note, because life happens: In the event of my incapacity or death I wish for all my observations and identifications to remain on iNaturalist.
A very helpful guide to photographing earthworms for iNaturalist, by user @thirty_legs: https://www.inaturalist.org/posts/110030-photographing-earthworms-for-inaturalist#activity_comment_89ba07a0-5a06-4408-ac62-7a34c89f31dd
