This was probably the most serene and friendly hotel I’ve ever stayed at (and I’ve traveled to over 40 countries so I’ve stayed at my fair share of wonderful places)! The retreat is tucked away in the forest but easily accessible by a main road, which made getting around the island very easy. The staff were exceptional and totally made the stay. The amenities - like the tucked away pool, the morning yoga, and the herb garden walk - were absolutely lovely. And the room (we stayed in a suite) was incredible! We loved the outdoor tub and ability to just lounge while watching the monkeys and lizards in the forest. Highly highly recommend this property!

We didn’t mind all the stairs, but those who are not comfortable going up and down steep stairs should not stay here.

This hotel was gorgeous. Everything from the foyer (lobby), the room, the view and the location was perfect. It is located a little outside the main tourist area, but it is only a short and very pleasant river walk away. The staff were exceptional. We actually enjoyed being a little bit away from the main tourist area as it does get very crowded.

Over the weekend, the hotel was very busy, and the staff at breakfast seemed to be struggling to cope with the numbers. Maybe if guests were able to get their own tea and coffee at breakfast that may help.

The property itself is beautiful, with lots of old charm and convenient amenities. The staff was friendly and the location was perfect. The sweet treat surprise at night was a thoughtful touch!

The room is great, clean and quiet. The beds are comfortable and the shower is great. Felix and Layla and the rest of the staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

No reception, keys in two lock boxes. Slow reply from property management. The unit needs a make over inside as it's getting run down. Would not stay again.
