The hotel seems understaffed. The staff were very friendly but it took a long time to get their attention sometimes as they're very busy. Bathroom was nice but there was water leaking underneath the shower door when you had a shower which made the sink area wet. It would have been nice to have a fan on the balcony.

The view from the room was fantastic. The room was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed spending time on the balcony. The rooftop bar was also very nice. Breakfast had lots of variety

My stay at Riyaz was absolutely perfect. From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. The hotel is incredibly clean and well-maintained, and the staff are genuinely kind, welcoming, and professional — they truly made the experience memorable. One thing I especially appreciated is how suitable the hotel is for people who have a phobia of animals. You won’t see any cats, dogs, monkeys, or pets anywhere on the property. It’s a peaceful, pet-free environment that provides a real sense of comfort and security. The location is also ideal. You’ll find plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and even shopping malls all within a 10 to 15-minute walk from the hotel. Whether you’re looking to grab a quick bite or do some shopping, everything is conveniently close. The beach is another major highlight. It’s only about a 5-minute walk. There’s also a complimentary buggy service to take you there and get you back to the hotel. The beach itself is super clean, quiet, and never crowded — it felt like a private escape, perfect for relaxation. In short, Riyaz Hotel is a fantastic choice if you’re looking for a peaceful, clean, and conveniently located place to stay in Langkawi. I highly recommend it and would absolutely stay here again.

The music on the rooftop bar was terrible. At 8 am it was loud. It is not possible to simply have a quiet swim after the gym. All day long it gets louder and louder. By sunset no chance of having a drink overlooking the sea. If you are 18-25 you'd probably like it as it more like a cheap rooftop beach club, minus the clients as they all left, and with a higher price tag. The food was terrible. Nothing healthy whatsoever. Breakfast was bread and butter pudding, curry, chips, spaghetti bolognese, chicken nuggets, sandwiches, etc.

Fantastic hotel! Great staff, comfy rooms and beautiful rooftop swimming pool. Far enough away from Main Street that it is quiet but close enough that you can walk there. Would highly recommend.

The breakfast has very little Western food and what it does have is not how we eat it. Cheese in my scambled egg is weird. The pool bar is horrendous. Such a shame as it's beautiful. The food is terrible and you cannot watch the sunset as the noise from the DJ is mad. For a 5 star resort this lets it down badly as unless you are 25 and under and deaf, you won't like it. That DJ cleared the place every night. Shame. He is also rude and insulting.

We were in a junior suite, the toilet door could do with more of a privacy screen from the rest of the bathroom. The room was clean but the cleaners were a bit lazy in regards to tidying up, eg; dirty crockery from room service not removed and there was a half full bottle of something from the previous occupant left in the fridge. The table on the balcony was not cleaned after rain and chair coverings and cushions were not put back after we brought them inside during a storm.

I had an incredible stay! The staff were all friendly—from the front door to everyone throughout the building. Special shoutout to Chezza, Qistina, and Gwen for assisting with our check-in and check-out. They were very accommodating with our late check-out request, understanding that we needed time to pray before heading to the airport. We loved the ambience, the room, and the food spread. Definitely a must-stay hotel in the Pantai Dalam/Chenang area!

- Whilst breakfast had good range of options, I don't think the food in itself was that great. A lot of needed more salt/seasoning and I wish there were more fruits available (mainly just watermelon / pineapple / honeydew melon). - The beach was quiet and nice but local businesses would then charge you a relatively expensive fee for a sunbed.

Needs to be fumigated every now and then. There were huge cockroaches by the lounge chairs on the poolside, and found two in the room.

The two-bedroom villa was beautiful, clean and spacious. Also efficient buggy rides to the beach.

The property is located on a quieter part of the island and within a 15 minute walking distance to Pantai Cenang. The staff at the hotel were courteous, always willing to help, and provided a great and safe atmosphere. Rooms were very spacious with a great view regardless of whether you were on the beach side or mountain side. Highly recommend this hotel to any travelers looking to stay on the quieter side of the island.

Loved pretty much everything. The room was big and comfortable. Loved the interior design. The sea view was simply stunning. Special thanks goes to the staff. They really made our stay (and my partner's birthday) unforgettable.

The service for the room and the villa was variable. Mostly it was good but we had to remind them to leave things like toilet paper and to change the sheets. We had loads of moisturiser but ran out of shower gel. Little things only and they were always fixed upon request but it was annoying at times. A little more training needed possibly. We felt it would be beneficial to have a larger choice of food at the rooftop such as salads for lunch such as those available on the 4th floor restaurant.

Great location. Junior suite was spacious and had the most amazing views. The rooftop pool really made the holiday for us. The water was clean and the bar and snacks easily accessible. The staff knew us by name.
