The apartment was well equipped so we could switch between making our own food, for instance by buying freshly caught Barracudas from the fishermen on the beach, or eating at the restaurant facing the beach.”

He was in regular contact with me to answer any questions I had and was very hospitable. The hotel is in a very safe neighborhood and a short distance from the grocery, shopping and beach resorts. There is ample and secure parking. It is in a relatively quiet neighborhood. Amalia is a beautiful place and everything about it reflects the owner's attentive and friendly character. I highly recommend this hotel and will spread the word! I am a seasoned global travel and I can honestly say Amalia surpassed all my expectations. I hope to visit again in the near future.”

With an increadible house reef a short swim from the coast, this is the perfect spot for an active (or not so active) holiday. We stayed at Sun Reef Village's Redaweg 50 (a recent addition to their ocean front houses). While the sun reef village appartments are all lovely, this specific house offers you complete privacy and the absolute best access to - and views off the ocean. The house itsself is very well maintained and comfortable consisting of two bedrooms (again beautiful sea views) with ensuite spacious bathrooms on opposite ends of the living space ( incl. fully equipped kitchen and bbq) and one additional large bedroom. The living space is open towards the patio/garden/ocean, perfect for Curacao's climate. We are familiar with the island and have stayed at a lot of different appartments and hotels. Sun reef village is easily our favourite!”

  “The apartment is in a great location if you want to be close to Punda, but also close to Mamba Beach which is accessible to the public for a small fee. Although close to the resorts, the apartment is in a real neighborhood. There is a small supermarket nearby. We enjoyed the musicians playing in the park (early) some evenings and the fishermen working off the beach across the street. We enjoyed this location much better than staying in Punda which is pretty dead at night. There are frequent mini buses that will take you into Punda during the day and early evening. The apartment is very roomy and airy. With the windows open the sea breeze makes it very comfortable during the day and there is air conditioning at night. Sean was so helpful, but also gave us our privacy. It was a perfect mix. Curacao has a lot of dogs! The neighbor has dogs that sometimes bark during the day but it wasn't a problem at all and we made friends with them. They don't bark at night. This is a wonderful budget apartment. I would definitely stay again.”
