  • Great partnerships power great science. Find out how Google Cloud works with Servier Pharmaceuticals to advance digital and data strategies and support drug discovery, from Isabelle Fraine, managing director of Google Cloud France👇

AI’s potential in drug development is enormous. And Servier Pharmaceuticals is a fantastic example of how Google Cloud can help pharmaceutical companies advance their digital and data strategy to boost productivity and enhance R&D, with the potential to accelerate the complex process of drug discovery. It was a privilege to discuss these exciting advancements live with Claude Bertrand, Servier’s Executive Vice President, Research and Development and Chief Scientific Officer at the Google for Health France Summit last week. We discussed how they’ve been able to maximize R&D potential with AI to make sense of the massive amounts of complex health data available today. For example, Claude shared how their innovative analytics platform built with Google Cloud Platform has been able to significantly reduce the processing time for certain clinical trial studies. We’re proud to provide the secure, advanced tools that support Servier’s ambition to accelerate scientific discovery.

  • The Google for Health France Summit brought together voices across the French healthcare landscape – tech innovators, clinicians, startup leaders and more. Takeaways from the event from our Chief Health Officer Dr. Karen DeSalvo follow below 👇

Last week, Google for Health's inaugural France Summit highlighted our expanding AI offerings and how we are bringing the best of Google to the world of health. The event showcased how French partners—from researchers to startups to large enterprises—are using Google's tools to improve access to quality care and augment the work of scientists and clinicians. Institut Curie Servier Pharmaceuticals S3NS I was honored to host a panel with leaders from Doctolib's Clara Léonard, Jaide's Jean-Emmanuel Bibault, MD, PhD, Klineo's Nicolas Drizard who shared real-world perspectives on driving AI transformation. The discussions revealed shared optimism for a future where generative AI helps everyone live healthier lives. At Google we share that vision and are committed to: - Applying AI boldly to solve major challenges. - Building AI responsibly with necessary safeguards. - Partnering to empower others and expand knowledge. - Recognizing that progress in health moves at the speed of trust. See more how we are bringing the best of Google to the world of health at health.google.com. I am so impressed by the French ecosystem's collaborative spirit and its rigorous, strategic approach to integrating technology into science and medicine. As Jean-Emmanuel Bibault, MD, PhD pointed out, it is no surprise that they are drawing from their history as the birthplace of “Les Lumières” (the Enlightenment), by championing genAI development anchored in rigorous, evidence-based practices, advocating for the widespread dissemination of knowledge to societal betterment and holding each other accountable.   The Summit was a memorable conclusion to my tenure as Google’s Chief Health Officer, leaving me hopeful for the future of health. With gratitude. 🙏
