All of the staff were very friendly, two standouts were Alecea at the front desk and Melissa, who cleaned the rooms. I love the fresh flowers all over, the landscaping, the location, the breakfast was better than I expected. I enjoyed little touches like the cutlery being environmentally friendly. I loved them putting out a trail mix bar certain days.

I thought the breakfast was just right for what we needed. Having both hot and iced coffee was great. The ice situation was weird with the ice machine being on the other side of the hotel and no I e near the cold coffee station. The location was priceless, and the rooms were very nice.

We traveled on a motorcycle and enjoyed exploring Acadia Park. We loved the restaurants and many choices of the fish menu. I think there should have been more music events around town. Maybe some of the bars could have live music playing while walking around

It was quiet compared to Bar Harbor and very peaceful. There were many shops and a few restaurants. The marina was lovely. Bar Harbor and Acadia were just minutes away. I would stay in Northeast Harbor again.

This is a wonderful launching pad for beautiful nearby towns such as Blue Hill, Deer Island, Bar Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Seal Harbor, and, of course, Acadia National Park where one can view the entire seacoast from beautiful Cadillac Mountain.

Bass Harbor is a wonderful place to stay and experience all the surrounding area has to offer. We biked, kayaked, and hiked during the week. Bar Harbor is an easy drive and a great place to get a book, eat out, and shop.

Exceptional does not begin to describe this property.

Exceptional does not begin to describe this property. Is it a beautifully constructed and secluded cabin mirroring the owner’s memory of her childhood home on the West Coast of Ireland. Imaginatively furnished, it is the best equipped rental in which I have ever stayed. Far from the hustle and bustle but close to all of the major attractions: Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, the Schoodic National Scenic Byway, Frenchman’s Bay and so much more.

Bar Harbor was a great vacation- definitely recommend.

Bar Harbor was a great vacation- definitely recommend. We spent three full days in town and did lots of excursions. We did the Puffin & Lighthouse tour and the Whale Watching tour. Both of those were amazing experiences, and the company even provided discounts in town for meals afterwards. You should know it costs money to park anywhere downtown in Bar Harbor! They use a meter/app to run this cost. We found it was worth it to lodge near town and just walk in. Bar Harbor was a cute tourist spot, but there was a focus on nature and conservation, which was appreciated. Grabbing food or ice cream in town and enjoying the view of the harbor was breathtaking, especially at sunset. The proximity to Acadia National Park was the big reason we stayed, but we fell in love with Bar Harbor! Definitely recommend!

Southwest Harbor is much quieter than Bar Harbor.

Southwest Harbor is much quieter than Bar Harbor. It is very walkable, with several restaurants and shops. It is a short drive to the Bass Harbor lighthouse and Acadia National Park. The city dock is open to the public, and you can get some good pictures of the harbor from the dock. I took my wife to the Red Sky restaurant for her birthday. It was very good.

This island town is a must see… there is never enough time to do all of what you wish. I wish we had had a solid week of just hiking the different trails, but we split our time between Bar Harbor and the town of Surry. The towns people were extremely welcoming and we enjoyed the Margaret Todd Sunset cruise, kayaking on the bay and hiking around Jordan‘s Pond. The visit to Thunder Hole as well as Cadillac Mountain was a thrilling part of our travels. We will be coming back for years to come.
