Abstract
本発明の課題は、長時間のエンジン停止後の始動時等に支障をきたすことなく、従来より低い排気温度から良好なNOx低減効果が得られるようにすることにある。排気管4の途中に酸素共存下でも選択的にNOxをアンモニアと反応させ得る選択還元型触媒5を設け且つ該選択還元型触媒5より上流側の排気管4内に還元剤として尿素水6を添加してNOxを還元浄化するようにした排気浄化装置に関し、尿素水6の添加位置より上流の排気管4に、酸化触媒9を前段に付帯装備したパティキュレートフィルタ10を配設すると共に、該パティキュレートフィルタ10と前記尿素水6の添加位置との間に、前記選択還元型触媒5の活性下限温度よりも低い温度で排気ガス3中のNOxを物理的に吸着し且つその吸着NOxを前記選択還元型触媒5の活性下限温度に近い温度で放出する性質を備えたNOx吸着触媒17を配設する。
