Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de corriger un déséquilibre des couleurs dû à la détérioration par vieillissement d'une substance luminescente associée à chaque couleur d'un panneau d'affichage à plasma (PDP) de manière à obtenir un équilibre aussi uniforme que possible des couleurs. Le PDP possède une structure cellulaire pour chaque des couleurs rouge (R), verte (G) et bleue (B) dans le pixel. Une surface d'une électrode de décharge dans une région cellulaire prend une forme plus petite dans une cellule de couleur bleue, par exemple, que dans les autres cellules de couleur en fonction des caractéristiques de détérioration de la substance luminescente (9R, 9G, 9B) associée à chaque couleur. De plus, une surface de réception des substances luminescentes sur le module cellulaire prend une forme plus grande dans la cellule de couleur bleue que dans les autres cellules de couleur en fonction de la surface de l'électrode de décharge. Ce procédé de correction permet de préserver l'uniformité des caractéristiques de chaque cellule de couleur.
