Definitions

  • the invention relates to a beater mill for sticky products with a mainly cylindrical mill housing, an inlet and an outlet opening, with beaters which can be rotated about the housing axis and directed towards the inner wall of the housing and with at least one wiper which can be rotated in the same direction or in the opposite direction about the housing axis.
  • the peripheral end of which extends in the axial direction at least over the axial area occupied by the rackets and is at a smaller distance from the inner wall of the housing than the rackets.
  • the mills of the type mentioned tend to become blocked when processing sticky material, for example moist material or material that tends to cake for some other reason.
  • Various measures are known from the prior art with which this problem can be solved.
  • the sticky material is to be conveyed pneumatically after comminution.

Baking of the sticky products is also prevented here, as in the impact mill already mentioned, by lining the inner surfaces of the housing with an elastic material with a smooth surface. The lining of all inner walls of the mill, which can be reached by the sticky particles, leads to a relatively high outlay.
  • Another impact mill does not have a lining of the inner walls.

In the sawtooth-like shape of the scraper according to the invention, cleaning before restarting is no longer necessary, since only a relatively low starting torque is required even with a layer attached to the inner surface of the housing.
  • the detached product batch cannot be pressed between the inner wall of the mill and the scraper.
