    Chief AI Officer @ LinkedIn

Starting a new role can be a lot of fun. I rejoined LinkedIn 6 months ago as the company’s first Chief AI Officer, and it’s been an incredibly fast and exciting start. But before diving deeper into that journey, I wanted to offer some insight into who I am, why I’m excited about AI now, and what you can expect from me as LinkedIn’s CAIO. The future of work and AI isn’t shaped alone, so I’ll be sharing much more about LinkedIn’s incredible teams, technology and products very soon. #CAIO #LinkedIn #AI

    Chief AI Officer @ LinkedIn

I am thrilled to share that I’m joining LinkedIn as the company’s Chief AI Officer. This is my second stint leading AI at LinkedIn, with my last tour being VP of AI for 8 years where our team developed remarkable innovations at massive scale that serve as the foundation for much of the company’s AI efforts today. LinkedIn has a long and impressive history of using AI to transform the way professionals and businesses connect, learn, and grow. AI is at the heart of everything we do - from personalizing member experiences to help them grow their knowledge and access to opportunity, to empowering businesses, and fostering meaningful professional relationships. My mission as CAIO is to push the boundaries of what’s possible, ensuring our AI innovations are not only cutting-edge and industry-defining but also ethical, inclusive, human-centric and empathetic. Nothing gives me more joy in my professional life than building technology that has a meaningful impact on the world. I am truly honored to join the incredibly talented team at LinkedIn to build technology that helps create economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce and empowers them in an AI-first world. Together, we’ll innovate and create solutions that accelerate the value we deliver to every member and organization on LinkedIn. Here’s to new opportunities, exciting challenges, and transformative innovation! #AI #Leadership #Innovation #LinkedIn #NewBeginnings

  • Erran Berger and Tim Jurka sat down to discuss what makes a LinkedIn post perform well and how our AI surfaces the right content at the right time for our members. Check it out!

What makes a post do well on LinkedIn? It’s a top question we hear from members. I chatted with Tim Jurka, VP of Engineering for LinkedIn Feed, Creation & Video about how our LLMs and AI surface the right content to people at the right time. Whether you’re in tech, healthcare, or a small business owner, our platform learns from how you engage—like how long you read a post or what posts you find ‘insightful’—and tailors your experience to deliver trusted, timely, and relevant content when you need it most. Check out our conversation and read Tim’s post here to learn more about the tech behind it all: https://lnkd.in/dZykWwjZ

  • In August, we open sourced Liger-Kernel, a library designed to enhance GPU efficiency for training LLMs. With a single line of code, Liger can improve training throughput by 20% and reduce memory usage by 60% for popular LLM models.   Read more in our latest blog where the team dives into Liger and the challenges it solves!
