We really enjoyed the room there at the inn! We had a 2nd floor King room and it gave us everything we needed and more! We could overlook the courtyward and see bunnies, listen to the water/pond or just glance over at a tiny view of Haystack rock from our balcony! We also really enjoyed the breakfast every day, as well as the cookies they provided. We rented some of the movies there as well with a VAST selection if you are a movie lover. The walk to the beach was just a couple of blocks and we could enjoy all the viewpoints and access we wanted or needed walking up and down the coast there. There were quite a few eating options walkable from this place as well, just keep in mind during summer the downtown area is SO busy with visitors so you have to allow some time to navigate that (unless you are walking it) :) I also enjoyed the surprise wild bunnies and nature around, that is the reason I wanted to celebrate our 20 year anniversary in Oregon/Cannon Beach. It was so relaxing and wonderful. Thank you!

The room was spacious with a large balcony. The indoor fireplace made it cozy and the upscale nautical theme was well done. Location is perfect for walking to most attractions and restaurants. We didn’t use the saunas but it’s an extra that many might love. Valet parking is affordable and the welcome glass of champagne was a nice touch. The salmon chowder at the hotel restaurant was outstanding.

I planned to visit the city, but after reading up and hearing from some people that lived there i changed my plans. I decided to just visit for the day. The city is suffering from drug and homeless problems, I was told they are trying to reverse a policy of all drug legalisation, which hadn't gone well. I have travelled globally and to some poor countries and bad cities in the past, this had a bad vibe about the place. The "famous" bookstore is just like any other and nodiscript. Voodoo doughnuts which are on the must do list, are again completely overrrated. My advice, skip Portland and do Seattle instead.

Bend has a lot to offer for many interests. It’s a great place for concerts, shopping, wine tasting, restaurants and breweries. Also it offers fun on the river, hiking trails, biking, parks and more. In my experience, the scenery is beautiful, the town is clean and the people are friendly.

We ate at Kyllo's and Taste of India, both were excellent. We also ate at Misty's and it was good and view was lovely. We also stopped at Barnicale Bills for seafood, over 50 years old, also the Candy Store that was 50 year business very nice people at both stores and good foods. The best thing we did was go to the Lincoln City Glass and did blown glass. Donald was a very good teacher and did a great job explaining what we were doing. I was impressed with having kids that were 48inches tall being able to do the activity. You have to pre-schedule to do it. We were there during the week so were able to get a spot the next day. The beaches in area are nice and flat so easy walking, found sea glass and some agates too. Very nice place to visit.

Seaside is compact and most attractions within a few blocks of each other. The free public parking with restrooms is very convenient. A lot of hotels are on the beach or very close to it. Established residential areas downtown are well kept. The town is friendly and clean. The beach is beautiful. The restaurants are very good.

We drove from Los Angeles to Vancouver and the route that we took we had to drive through Eugene. It was absolutely beautiful. It's surrounded by lakes, streams and beautiful tall trees that just takes your breath away. It's peaceful with not a lot of traffic with eateries along the way. We only drove through but that drive make us want to come back and visit. We loved it

Newport is in the middle of a series of beach communities with each having a special character and usually a harbor. The various harbors seem to have the the best culinary experience. Willamette Valley connections define the access - Portland to Seaside, Tillamook, Cannon Beach, Salem to Lincoln City, Corvallis to Newport, Eugene to Florence. With smaller communities in between. The State and Federal Forest Service Parks and viewing sites including light houses, aquariums and Marine Science center are great. Rambling up the small coastal roads into the coastal mountains provide an insight into the logging history and First Nation culture..... And don't forget the tides, high and low with the latter exposing fantastic marine life tide pools.

Ashland is such a walkable town and everyone was very welcoming and friendly. The theater is centrally located and an easy walking distance from where we stayed at the Peerless Hotel. Lots of fun, cozy dining options and the local shops are varied and a cut above the touristy shops you often see.
