Abstract

A single-dose refill (1) of a food product for preparing a beverage, comprising a part shaped as a half-shell (11) and a closure element (22) taking the form of a sheet and being irreversibly attached to an end flange (111) of the half-shell, said half-shell (11) and closure element (22) being made from a biodegradable material. A machine (200) for producing a single-dose refill (1), comprising a chassis (201) bearing a carriage (210) provided with a preform-cutting punch (213), by means of which a preform-dishing punch (215) travels in order to obtain a part shaped as a half-shell (11), the cutting and dishing operations being performed at a single workstation.
