Abstract

 テアシームを用いることなく、エアバッグの膨張初期の段階では開閉型ベントホールが閉又は小開度とされ、その後、インフレータのガス発生が減少又は停止すると、該開閉型ベントホールが開又は大開度となるエアバッグ及びエアバッグ装置。エアバッグ10内に、該エアバッグ10よりも小容積のインナーバッグ16が設けられている。開閉型ベントホール20を覆う蓋体60とインナーバッグ16とがテザー70によって連結されている。エアバッグ10の膨張初期における、インナーバッグ16の内圧がエアバッグ10の内圧よりも高い段階では、インナーバッグ16が膨満して該インナーバッグ16が緊張し、これによりテザー70を介して蓋体60の開閉型ベントホール20からの離反が阻止される。その後、インフレータ36のガス発生が減少又は停止すると、インナーバッグ16が弛緩し、これにより蓋体60が開閉型ベントホール20から離反して開閉型ベントホール20が開となる。
