Abstract

 本発明の電力増幅器(10)は、高周波変調信号に含まれる、当該高周波変調信号の振幅変調成分のみを含む包絡線信号を時間離散信号に変換するAD変換器(11)と、AD変換器(11)の出力信号を増幅するスイッチングアンプ(12)と、スイッチングアンプ(12)の出力信号から高周波ノイズを除去するローパスフィルタ(13)と、ローパスフィルタ(13)の出力信号が電源として供給され、高周波変調信号に含まれる搬送波信号を増幅するための複数の高周波電力増幅器(15-1~15-n)と、複数の高周波電力増幅器(15-1~15-n)の総利得を制御することで、電力増幅器(10)の出力信号の平均電力を調整する電力制御部(14)と、を有する。
