Abstract

 熱陰極蛍光ランプ10を備えたバックライト100であって、バルブ12を有する熱陰極蛍光ランプ10と、熱陰極蛍光ランプ10の端部に設けられた口金50と、口金50の外部端子52と接続されるソケット40とを備え、口金50の外部端子52は、バルブ12の長手方向92に対して略垂直な方向(例えば、スクリーン方向90の逆方向)に延びており、ソケット40は、バルブ12の長手方向92に沿って外部端子52を摺動可能なように保持する機構45を備えている、バックライト100である。
