Abstract

La présente invention concerne des micro-organismes génétiquement modifiés qui produisent de la L-alanine comme produit de fermentation primaire à partir de sucres. Des sucres de pentose, tels que le xylose, et des sucres d'hexose, tels que le glucose, peuvent être efficacement fermentés en L-alanine. Les souches décrites ici ont la capacité de métaboliser tous les sucres qui constituent la biomasse lignocellulosique et une variété de disaccharides, y compris le lactose, le maltose, le saccharose et d'autres.
