Abstract

La présente invention concerne des composés polymérisables de cristaux liquides de la formule (I) suivante; une composition polymérisable de cristaux liquides contenant l'un quelconque des composés et un composé chiral polymérisable; et un polymère de cristaux liquides, etc. obtenu par la polymérisation du composé ou de la composition. Cette invention concerne un composé polymérisable de cristaux liquides et une composition polymérisable de cristaux liquides à partir desquels un polymère de cristaux liquides présentant une anisotropie optique extrêmement élevée et une excellente solubilité dans des solvants organiques et excellant en compatibilité avec divers additifs, tels que des agents d'alignement, qui peuvent être formés; et un polymère de cristaux liquides, etc. obtenu par la polymérisation du composé ou de la composition. Dans la formule (I), M1 représente un hydrocarbure aromatique en C6 à C24 ayant trois ou quatre liaisons; chacun de Y1 à Y8 représente -C(=O)-O-CH2CH2-O-, -C(=O)-O-CH2CH2-, etc.; chacun de G1 à G3 représente un groupe aliphatique bivalent en C1 à C20, etc.; chacun de Z1 à Z3 représente un groupe alcényle en C2 à C10, etc.; chacun de A1 et A2 représente un groupe contenant un cycle aromatique bivalent ou trivalent en C4 à C24, etc.; et chacun de a et b vaut 0, 1 ou 2, c 1 ou 2, et chacun de p, q et r 0 or 1.
