Abstract
本発明のメタルハライドランプは、内部に放電空間が形成された放電部、この放電部に連続形成された封止部を有する気密容器と、前記放電空間に希ガスおよびヨウ化メタルを含み、水銀は本質的に含まない放電媒体と、前記封止部に一端が封着され、他端は前記放電空間に対向配置された一対の電極とを具備し、この電極は０．１重量％以上、０．７重量％以下の酸化トリウムと、０．００１０重量％以上のカリウムを含有してなる。
