Abstract
La présente invention a trait à une lampe aux halogénures. La lampe aux halogénures inclut une cuve hermétique comprenant une partie de décharge dotée à l'intérieur d'un espace de décharge et une partie d'étanchéité disposée de façon continue sur la partie de décharge. Un milieu de décharge contenant un gaz rare et de l'iodure de méthyle et substantiellement sans mercure est contenu dans l'espace de décharge. Une paire d'électrodes est disposée de manière à ce qu'une extrémité des électrodes soit scellée à la partie d'étanchéité et de manière à ce que l'autre extrémité des électrodes soit disposée à l'opposé de l'espace de décharge. L'électrode contient au minimum 0,1 % en poids et au maximum 0,7 % en poids d'oxyde de thorium et au minimum 0,0010 % en poids de potassium.
