Referring first to FIG. 1 illustrating a block diagram of parking position reader according to some embodiments of the invention, a loop antenna 102 forms an electric field to transmit and receive an RF signal. An RF transmission/receiving module 104 sends an RF signal generated from an internal oscillation circuit to the outside through the loop antenna 102, and receives data from a parking card 10 positioned within the electric field. The loop antenna 102 and the RF transmission/receiving module 104 constitute a radio recognition unit. The radio recognition unit may be installed in a parking lot, and has a function of recognizing and outputting an approach of ID card such as a parking card etc. or information provided in receiving a radio remote control signal. If applying the RF transmission/receiving module 104 using a general-purpose controller "89C2051" to an example of the invention, the RF transmission/receiving module 104 may be programmable to drive loop antenna 102 with a radio frequency of 13,56MHz and perform an SPI communication with a controller 110.
Importantly, the parking position reading may include an emergency bell 120 that is installed near the radio recognition unit and that generates a signal for an emergency call. The emergency bell 120 may be realized as a micro push button.
The card reader controller 110 outputs, as first output data, recognition code information from the ID card and position information related to a vehicle parking area within the parking lot when there is an output from the RF transmission/receiving module 104 of the radio recognition unit, and outputs, as second output data, information of a position where the emergency bell is installed, when there is a call signal from the emergency bell 120. The card reader controller 110 constitutes a controller of a parking card reader. The card reader controller 110 may be realized through an appropriate program use to a usage based on some embodiments of the invention by using, for example, a general-purpose controller "Tyni2313".
A communication unit 1 16 is connected to the card reader controller 1 10, and outputs the first and second output data through a communication line TX, and receives a signal applied from a control device installed outside the parking card reader, for example, parking position server, through a communication line RX. Such a communication system using the communication line may be RS-485, RS- 422 communication.
A display 106 and a relay driver 108 coupled to the card reader controller 110 each have a function of providing outside an operating state of parking card reader, and a relay driving function to drive an alarm such as siren 1 12 etc. An address input unit 114 is provided to input peculiar position information of a position where parking position reader 100 is installed.
An interphone interface 1 18 connected to the card reader controller 110 switches a connection with an interphone, and in a connection operation thereof with interphone, a microphone 122 and a speaker 124 are connected between the outside and the parking position reader through the interphone interface 118.
The parking card 10 may be a contact-type IC card or non-contact type IC card, or may be, e.g., RF I D( Radio-frequency Identification) card as an approach- type card of below about 50 centimeter to avoid a readout confusion. In this time, the parking position reader 100 may be a card reader to perform a data communication through use of a communication signal connection system of ISO- 14443 B-type, and the RF transmission/receiving module 104 transmits, as an ASK signal, data to be transmitted to the non-contact type IC card, and receives a BPSK signal of sub-carrier transmitted from the non-contact type IC card, and converts it into an NRZ signal. The card reader controller 110 processes a received NRZ signal converted by the RF transmission/receiving module 104, converts data to be transmitted to the non-contact type IC card, into a serial data of NRZ type, and transfers it to the RF transmission/receiving module 104.
With reference to FIG. 2 illustrating an installation example of plural parking position readers shown in FIG. 1 in an underground parking lot of an apartment house such as an apartment etc., a user P1 approaches his parking card to parking position reader 100 installed in his neighboring concrete pillar CO1. For example, if a user parks his car C1 near a pillar or wall body in an A-3 zone, the user approaches his parking card to the parking position reader 100. Then, when an output from the RF transmission/receiving module 104 exists, the card read controller 110 outputs, as first output data, recognition code information obtained from the parking card and position information related to a vehicle parking area within the parking lot.
Further, when the emergency bell 120 operates, the card reader controller 110 outputs, as second output data, position information of A-3 zone where the emergency bell is installed, in response to operation of the emergency bell 120.
Even though user P1 approached a parking card 10 to parking position reader 100 installed in one pillar CO1 , and if emergency bell of a parking position reader 100-1 installed in another concrete pillar CO2 operates, card reader controller 110 of a parking position reader 100-1 outputs position information of A-4 zone where the emergency bell is installed, as second output data. Such operation may be determined by first considering a user's personal protection. Regardless of before/after an approach of parking card, an interlock of CCTV is performed or other alarm is activated when emergency bell operates, that is, for users' personal thorough protection with a preferential consideration for users' personal protection. An embodiment of the invention may be provided to operate the emergency bell 120 and simultaneously operate an emergency siren or alarm light.
In addition, an intercom recording function or intercom telephonic conversation function may be provided through the parking position reader 100. For example, when pressing the emergency bell, an audio signal may be induced through an intercom microphone, thus an automatic recording or a telephonic communication with a building manager's office may be performed.
FIG. 3 illustrates output formats of the first and second output data output through the communication unit 116 shown in FlG. 1. In FIG. 3, FIG. 3A provides a format of the second output data generated when emergency bell operates, and FIG. 3B provides a format of the first output data generated when parking card approaches. A reference number a1 indicates a start bit region, a2 designates a bit region indicating a peculiar position address of a vehicle parking area, a 3 designates a bit region of emergency call data, and a4 provides each a CRC code bit region for an error check and an end bit region informing of an end of message. A reference number b1 shown in FIG. 3B is a bit region indicating ID data, and may
have user's own information, for example, name, apartment building number, a house number, a car number and others, and in other cases, may store a peculiar serial number provided to every parking card. Such user's own information may be searched with a read serial number from a memory table map corresponding and matching previously.
FIG. 4 illustrates function blocks of a public facilities control device to provide information of a parking position to a corresponding house by using first, second output data output through parking position reader 100 of FIG. 1 , to control a matching interlock of CCTV for a safety return-home or user's personal protection or to control a call for an elevator in order to provide a user's best convenience.
Referring to FIG. 4, a parking position server 200 is connected with parking position reader 100 and receiver 110, to receive the first, second output data. The receiver 110 may also have a function of receiving an infrared signal output from remote controller 11 shown in FIG. 1 and outputting it as the first output data. A home network server 220, an elevator central controller 300 and a CCTV interlock controller 400 are connected to the parking position server 200, to perform an electrical communication. The home network server 220 provides position information for a parking at a house wall pad 250 or information for name, car, parking time or information related to parking information matched with a registration card when first output data is received through an approach of the parking card.
The elevator central controller 300 communicates with elevator controller 310 of elevator 320 used by a corresponding user when the first output data is received, then the elevator may move to a floor of the parking lot or public entrance elevator hall. At this time, the elevator central controller 300 recognizes a corresponding vehicle parking area from the first output data, and if the area is a
parking area relatively far from the elevator, the elevator central controller 300 performs a delay call control so that the elevator may relatively late move to its destination floor such as a first floor or underground parking lot etc. Meanwhile, if the corresponding parking area recognized by the fist output data is relatively near the elevator, the elevator central controller 300 may perform a call control so that the elevator moves relatively rapid to its destination floor such as first floor or underground parking lot etc. To control such delay call operation, a call delay time per vehicle parking area may be predetermined in an internal memory table of the elevator central controller 300. For example, if an elevator call control operation having a time delay of 60 seconds is performed when first output data is generated from the farthest vehicle parking area; when the first output data is generated from the nearest vehicle parking area, an elevator call control operation having a time delay of 1 second is performed. The time delay of 60 seconds does not herein necessarily indicate that a user can ride in an elevator after 60 seconds, but indicate that the elevator is called after 60 seconds. It was herein described that the elevator central controller 300 performed a call delay per vehicle parking area based on an internal memory table, but the invention is not limited to the embodiment, and a call delay time per vehicle parking area may be stored in the internal memory table of the parking position server 200. At this time, the parking position server 200 delays the first output data by a predetermined time that is based on a vehicle parking area, and then outputs it to the elevator central controller 300.
The CCTV interlock controller 400 controls CCTV cameras 411 ,412 and 413 mapped to position address when receiving the first, second output data, thus performing a camera matching interlock. According to the camera matching interlock, a function of performing a recording through a DVR 420, and a function of
performing a popup or division of a monitor screen positioned in a monitor 430 of a building manager's office, may be performed.
Meanwhile, the parking position server 200 may be coupled to a light on/off controller 500. The light on/off controller 500 has a control function of switching on/off illumination lights along a movement path from a corresponding parking area to a public entrance hall when the first output data is received. Thus, while the user parks his car at an underground parking lot and then walks to the public entrance hall the elevator is provided, the user may be irradiated by illumination movably. That is, the user may walk safely in a bright environment state instead of walking in a dark environment state, with a tax reduction for electricity. A distribution switchboard to supply electric power to the illumination lights has a light relay, and the light on/off controller 500 controls a plurality of light relays along a movement path of a user, differentially, sequentially.
FIG. 5 illustrates cameras installed in an underground parking lot of an apartment as one of apartment house, and position areas(parking zones) according to some embodiments of the invention. If an emergency call is generated in A-1 parking zone, a camera (#1) may perform a matching interlock therefor, and if an emergency call is generated or a parking card is read in A-5 parking zone, a camera(#6) may perform a matching interlock therefor. The matching interlock operation may herein indicate that cameras are controlled operationally and organically so as to appropriately monitor and record images at a position where a user is positioned.
Thus, it may be desirable to predetermine a control operation of cameras corresponding to respective status occurrence areas in a memory map of a controller.
FIG. 6 illustrates an operation control flow of parking position reader 100. The parking position reader 100 checks in a step 600 whether a parking card approaches thereto. When an approach of the parking card as a user's ID card is checked in the step 600, parking card information is read in a step 601. Herein the parking card information is obtained through the RF transmission/receiving module 104 shown in FIG. 1 , and card read controller 110 outputs, as first output data, recognition code information obtained from the parking card and position information related to a vehicle parking area within the parking lot. If an emergency call is generated by a press of emergency bell in a step 604, a step 605 to drive a relay and a display is performed, and the card reader controller 110 performs a step 606 to output second output data to a parking position server. Examples for data formats of the first and second output data were described above. When a read completion is checked in a step 602, a step 603 to output first data to parking position server is performed. FIG. 7 is a flowchart illustrating an operation control flow of parking position server 200. A step 700 indicates a standby mode. The standby mode herein designates a standby state for an input of operation. When parking position server 200 receives the first output data in a step 701 , the parking position server 200 starts to operate. The first output data is received in the step 701 , and subsequently, the first output data received to home network server 220 is transmitted in a step 703. When it is checked in a step 704 that a safety return-home mode was determined, received data of CCTV interlock controller 400 is transmitted in a step 705. Also, when it is checked in a step 706 that an elevator call was determined, elevator call data is transmitted to elevator central controller 300 in a step 707. The determination of safety return-home mode or elevator call may be herein realized
through a user's or manager's computer etc., and is herein selectable according to the needs of determination.
On the other hand, when second data is received in a step 702 of FIG. 7 according as emergency bell is pressed, second output data received in CCTV interlock controller 400 is transmitted in a step 709. When it is checked in a step 710 that there was a server interlock required, received data is transmitted to a required server that requires a receipt of data in a step 711. The steps 710 and 711 are provided with considering an illumination control based on information of parking card or other extended determination function. FIG. 8 is a flowchart illustrating an operation control of camera matching interlock. A camera matching interlock mode starts in a step 801 , and it is checked in a step 802 whether first or second output data is received. When at least one of the first and second output data is received in the step 802, a camera matching interlock determined, being based on position information, is performed in a step 803. The camera matching interlock may herein indicate an operation and a focusing on a camera allocated adjacent to every area in a parking lot like in FIG. 5. With performing the step 803, a DVR recording is performed in a step 804, and a monitor popup or an interlock display operation of monitor is performed in a step 805. The DVR recording may be realized by controlling a digital video recorder. The popup operation of the monitor may indicate that a specific screen occupying one split screen in a full screen of a monitor installed in a building manager's office or guardhouse is largely enlarged and monitored into a full screen or sequential screen or larger screen. The interlock display of. the monitor may herein indicate that one optional user and his/her neighboring images are displayed on a first screen, another user and his/her neighboring images are displayed on a second screen and
next users are displayed on a subsequent screen, sequentially, in assuming that the screen of the monitor has, for example, eight split screens.
When a status is completed in a step 806, it returns. The operation control flow shown in FIG. 8 may be realized by the CCTV interlock controller 400. In operations of FIG. 8, when the first and second output data are received, the CCTV interlock controller 400 controls CCTV cameras 411 , 412 and 413 mapped with a position address, to perform a camera matching interlock, and further performs a recording through DVR 420 and a popup function or emphasis or interlock display function of monitor screen positioned in monitor 430 of a building manager's office. Thus, crime may be prevented, and in case crime occurs, evidences can be left definitely, that is, a user's personal protection and safe return-home can be provided. In other cases, a camera matching interlock may be continuously performed until a user safely returns to his/her house after parking by varying a program. A status completion of the matching interlock in cameras may be herein realized by checking whether or not a recognition signal is output from a card reader of a public entrance hall.
FIG. 9 illustrates a control flow in elevator call operation. An elevator call mode starts in a step 901 , and it is checked in a step 902 whether first data is received. When received, a drive signal is transmitted to a corresponding controller in a step 903, and it is checked in a step 904 whether an elevator delay function was applied. When applied thereto, an elevator call delay based on a position address is performed in a step 905. In other words, when a parking is performed near an elevator, the elevator may be immediately called, and when the parking is performed far from the elevator, the elevator may be called after several seconds or several minutes. Further, it is checked in a step 906 whether a movement of
elevator is completed. The operation control flow of FIG. 9 is performed by the elevator central controller 300. The elevator call function of FIG. 9 may be provided additionally by appropriately using information of parking position reader 100 that recognizes a parking card, thus it can be removed perfectly for users to have an inconvenience to have to again call for the elevator in an elevator hall in order to reach their houses after parking their car at underground lot.
ID card was described above as RFID card according to some embodiments of the invention, but may be used with RF card, IC card, smart card or RF tag etc. of course. Further, the embodiment of the invention was described as parking card reader was installed in a parking lot, but may be installed at a required space of first floor or other floor if necessary.
As described above, according to some embodiments of the invention, an emergency call function may be performed together through a parking position reader, thus dwellers' personal protection and safety can be obtained without additional equipments. In addition, a parking position information may be provided to each house, and an emphasis recording and popup/emphasis and interlock monitoring may be performed through a matching interlock with CCTV cameras, by using data generated through a corresponding parking position reader when a parking card approaches a parking position reader or an emergency bell operates. Further, when the parking card approaches, an elevator as public facilities may be called and controlled to go to a desired position, thus dwellers can immediately use the elevator without waiting time, that is, providing users' convenience. Additionally, users' convenience can be provided and an electricity consumption may be reduced by performing an illumination control together through information of parking card. It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that modifications and variations
can be made in the present invention without deviating from the spirit or scope of the invention. Thus, it is intended that the present invention cover any such modifications and variations of this invention provided they come within the scope of the appended claims and their equivalents.
