Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appareil permettant de positionner de manière sécurisée un instrument médical par rapport à un patient. Ledit appareil comprend un ensemble d'entraînement permettant de déplacer l'instrument médical le long d'un premier axe fixe pratiquement parallèle à la longueur de l'instrument, un dispositif d'ajustement doté d'un élément allongé et d'une paire de moyeux coopérants de manière à permettre de rattacher l'ensemble d'entraînement à un système de positionnement. Les moyeux coopérants sont conçus pour permettre la séparation de composants stériles de composants non stériles. Ledit système de positionnement comprend deux moteurs conçus respectivement pour déplacer l'instrument autour d'un axe différent de celui de l'ensemble d'entraînement. L'appareil sert à déplacer l'instrument autour d'un point externe au patient. Ce dispositif comporte un sac stérile renfermant le système de positionnement, ledit sac présentant au moins une ouverture destinée à loger un axe provenant du dispositif d'ajustement stérile, ce qui rend stérile l'ensemble de l'appareil.
