Abstract
The cigar humidifier (1) is briefly immersed in water and then laid in the cigar box in place of a cigar. Water vapour steadily escapes through the body (9) that stores the water, through the water-permeable shell (10) and into the cigar box, through the openings (5, 6). In this way, the cigars are kept practically as fresh in their box as in an air-conditioned room, over a very long period. When a coloured, self-adhesive strip (11) that is stuck to the water-permeable shell (10) becomes visible through the openings (6), this indicates that the cigar humidifier (1) needs to be re-immersed in water for further use.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen in etwa Zigarrengrösse aufweisenden Zigarrenbefeuchter zum Einlegen in eine Zigarrenkiste oder einen Humidor.The present invention relates to a cigar humidifier of approximately cigar size for insertion into a cigar box or a humidor.
Beim Konsumenten haben Zigarren die unangenehme Eigenschaft, dass sie beim Lagern in der Zigarrenschachtel sehr schnell austrocknen. Dadurch wird der Rauchgenuss einer solchen Zigarre im Gegensatz zu einer bei ca. 70 % Luftfeuchtigkeit im Spezialgeschäft optimal gelagerten Zigarre stark eingeschränkt. Um das Austrocknen der Zigarren zu verhindern, ist es bekannt mit Wasser getränktes Fliesspapier, Apfelschnitze oder Orangenschalen in die Zigarrenschachtel zu legen. Solche Verfahren haben sich aber nicht bewährt, weil die Zigarren einmal zu feucht und das andere mal zu trocken sind. Die Erfindung stellt sich nun die Aufgabe, eine einfache und billige Befeuchtungseinrichtung für Zigarren zu schaffen, mit der die gleiche Zigarrenqualität wie in einem klimatisierten Raum bewahrt werden kann. Mit dieser Einrichtung soll die Zigarre nicht genässt, sondern nur optimal befeuchtet werden und die Einrichtung soll bequem in einer Zigarrenschachtel Platz finden. Wenn Wasser nachgefüllt werden muss, soll dies ersichtlich und auf einfache Weise möglich sein. Die gestellte Aufgabe wird mit dem Zigarrenbefeuchter gemäss dem Oberbegriff des unabhängigen Patentanspruchs 1 dadurch gelöst, dass er einen rohrförmigen Behälter mit Öffnungen aufweist, wobei im Behälterinnem ein auf einer Feder ruhender oder an dieser angehängter wasserspeichender Körper eingesetzt ist. Der in etwa zigarrenförmige Zigarrenbefeuchter 1 weist einen rohrförmigen Behälter 2 auf, der bevorzugt aus Kunststoff besteht, dessen oberes Ende 3 geschlossen und dessen unteres Ende 4 mit einer Öffnung 5 versehen ist. In seiner oberen Hälfte weist der Behälter 2 zwei weitere einander diametral gegenüberliegende Öffnungen 6 auf. Im Behälterinnern
ist eine ausserhalb eines Vorsprungs 7 auf dem Ende 4 ruhende Feder 8 vorzugsweise aus nichtrostendem Stahl angebracht, auf der ihrerseits ein wasserspeichender Körper 9 ruht oder an dieser angehängt ist. Der wasserspeichende Körper 9 besteht vorzugsweise aus endlosen Polyesterfasern, welche wie bei einem Zigarettenfilter in eine Hülle 10 eingewickelt sind. Vorteilhafterweise ist die Hülle 10 ein wasserdurchlässiges non-woven Flies aus ebenfalls endlosen Polyesterfasern. In der Nähe der beiden Öffnungen 6 ist mit ihnen zusammenarbeitend beispielsweise ein rotes, vorzugsweise mit Kunststoff-Folie laminiertes Selbstklebeband 11 auf der Hülle 10 aufgeklebt. Dies geschieht dadurch, dass der beim Verkauf mitgelieferte Deckel 13 vom Ende 4 entfernt wird und der Zigarrenbefeuchter wie auf der Gebrauchsanweisung beschrieben mit dem Ende 4 voran aufrecht gehalten während 5 Sekunden in ein Gefäss mit Wasser getaucht wird. Wenn er so leicht geworden ist, dass das rote Selbstklebeband 11 in den Öffnungen 6 sichtbar wird, wird dadurch angezeigt, dass das Wasser grösstenteils verdunstet und der Zigarrenbefeuchter, wie bei der ersten Wasserfüllung oder wie auf der Gebrauchsanweisung erwähnt ist, wieder ins Wasser getaucht werden muss. Selbstverständlich ist die Zahl und die Grosse der Öffnungen 5 und 6, die Anordnung der Öffnungen 6 und des Selbstklebebandes 11 , sowie die Eintauchzeit
