Abstract
Um ein Verfahren zum Nachweis von Probenmolekülen in einem Trägergas, wobei mittels Expansion des Trägergases durch eine Düse in ein Vakuum ein divergenter Trägergasstrahl erzeugt wird, die Probenmoleküle in einem Ionisationsbereich des Trägergasstrahls durch Absorption von Photonen zu Probenmolekülionen ionisiert werden und die Probenmolekülionen durch ein elektrisches Ziehfeld in ein Massenspektrometer gezogen und in dem Massenspektrometer detektiert werden, derart zu verbessern, dass der Abstand zwischen der Austrittsöffnung der Düse und dem Ionisationsbereich frei wählbar ist, wird erfindungsgemäss vorgeschlagen, dass die Probenmolekülionen im wesentlichen längs der Richtung der Achse des Trägergasstrahles in das Massenspektrometer gezogen werden.
