Definitions

  • the surface of the tooth selected for the connection is first prepared, for example using an etching gel and / or adhesion promoter (primer, conditioner).
  • the latter can be a one- or two-component material.

  • one or more of the substances to be used may differ depending on the type of material to be fastened (metal, ceramic, composite material) or the type of substrate (enamel, dentin), one or more of the substances to be used may differ. So far, the dentist has kept these substances separately in stock, for example in vials or plunger syringes, in order to select them on a case-by-case basis, to mix and use them on a pallet if necessary. This has not only the disadvantage of being cumbersome. Confusion is also possible with the pairing of substances. With regard to the economy of the packaging, the substances must be stored in containers whose volume is so large that they can change unfavorably over the course of use under unfavorable conditions (slow consumption, high temperature) (for example progressive polymerization or Loss of solvent). When dosing multicomponent masses Errors occur. Mixed pallets are required and must be disposed of.

  • An embodiment is preferred in which a separate holder is provided, in which the individual packaging units can be inserted. This makes it possible to design the packaging units to be smaller and less material, and thus less expensive to dispose of.
  • An embodiment is preferred in which the packaging units are designed in the form of strips and are connected to a plurality of other, similar strips by means of an easily separable connection (perforation line, break point, etc.) to form a large unit. • the arrangement can be such that the dentist always finds substances of analogous use in the same place on his holder. It is therefore expedient if the strip-shaped lower packaging part can be pushed into the holder in only one orientation. In principle, however, other forms of packaging and holder are also conceivable, but a form-fitting connection between the holder and the lower part of the packaging is always advisable. For example, recesses in the holder, which are designed in accordance with the blisters of the lower packaging part and in which the blisters can be used appropriately serve as connecting means.
