Be it known that I, GEORGE V. BUNKER, of Yankton, Territory of Dakota, have invented a new and useful Devicefor Extinguishing Lemps; enriI do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the some, reference being had to the accompany.-

My invention 'consis-ts in' a V-shaped piece of thin metal, extending down into the wick-tube, one side of which is bent over one side of the tube to prevent it from falling when the wick is turned down, and is held against it endin' place-by a bent piece of thicker metal, which is pressed down astride that side of the tube.

I claim, the two pieces of metal, as herein described,
