IMPROVEMENT IN HAND-CULTIVATORS.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 95,96, dated October 19, 1869.

Be it known that I, EBENEZER CLARK, of Rushville, in the county of Schuyler and State of Illinois, have invented a new and useful Machine for Cultivating Garden or Field Crops by hand 5 and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the saine,

reference being had t0 the accompanying' A is an iron or steel shank, with steel shovel E attached, the same as B B, and is fastened into the end ofthe handle C, and can be used separately by detaching the two outside shovels from the handle C, which can be done by taking out the two bolts F F.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim isi .le .nt-.tal Shanks B B, being adjustable by the rod D. and the attaching and detaching of the shanks B B to and from the handle C by the bolts F F, as shown and described.
