UHRY, of the city of New York, in the county and State of "New York, have invented certain Improvements iu Stair-Rods; and I do declare that the following is afull and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 represents the broken end of one of my improved stair-rods, seen from the front; v

This invention relates to an improvement;` in the construction of ,theiastening of the stair-rods already pat-- ented by me, whereby the fastening-'head is entirely detached from the rod, making both more convenient ends, at the point where it is to be attached to the stair-case, a circular hole, F.

The combination of the hollow button B, screwey'e T, and rod A, constructed and arranged as shown. 2. The hollow button C, having a glass top or face, for the purpose of seeing the screw-eye when it is -invserted therein.
