` To all whom/lt ma/y concerns; l

y have invented certain` new and useful Improvements i'nGoldLeaf Oondensers;?- andl do `hereby declare i that the following is afull and exact description thereof, reference being hadto the accompanying drawings,
A l and to theletters of reference marked thereon.
v struction,.and use.
4To enable others skilled in the art to make and use n my invention, I will proceed to describe its nature, con- The nature of my invention consists in forming, of
` tin, or other suitablematerial, two small wol-kers, one of Which'serves to hold the gold-leaf and the other to draw it up into a loose bar, preparatory to rolling'.
` 4Both workers,.when reversed, serve as rolling-tabflets, being provided with a coating `of `thin rubber to facilitate the process.

Figure 1 is a longitudinal section through both of the Workers, showing the `gold-leaf between them. i Figure shows the workers as they appear injthe `.process of drawing the leaf into a loose bar. 1
Figures 3 and 4 showtheworkers as they appear ini the process of rolling the bar o f leaf into a oomp pact wire. l -l p One of the workers A has its edge turned up, as shownrin g. 3, by H 1),'D O, and C E, thus forming a dat pan, into which the gold-Inail is first placed, as
shown in iig. 2.
1 The other werken B, has one edge, Kturned up.
Both workersare provided with va thin coat of rubber, or some other suitable material, which is attached to the back, as represented by R R', fig'. 1.
To use my implement, I proceed as follows:
' The leaf is spread-,ont on the pan of the worker A; 'i then the worker B is placed over it, as represented in figs. 1 and 2'. Now, if A is held stationary and B drawn down, as: represented by dotted lines in gs. 1 and 2, the leaf will be gathered up into a bar between the edge K of B'and the edge C D of A. This loose l fbar is then removed aud placed upon the back of one U of the workers, and is rolleddown by manipulating the other, as indicated in figs. 1, 3, and 4.
This completes the process, and the gold-leaf is condensed ready for use. i i
Claim.
What-I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-
The leap-condenser, as a new article of manufaci
