Beit known that I, GEQBGEMURRAY, ofIWaterloo,V in the county of Seneca, and in the State of New York, have invented new and useful Improvements in- Bag-Ties; and do hereby declare that thefollowing is a full,` clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had tothe accompanying drawings, and `to the letters of reference marked thereon.

The nature of my invention consists in the co struction and arrangement of a bag-tie, which is self-tightening.

In order to fenable others skilled in the art to which my invention appeltains, to make and usethe same, I

will now proceed todescribe its construction and op-l eration, referring to the annexed drawings, which form a part of this specication, and in which- Figure 1 isa longitudinal 'vertical section, and Figure 2, `a perspective `of my bag-tie. i A represents a plate or bar of suitable size, to the rear end of which the strap B is secured.

To open the tie, it is only necessary to press the back part together,1when the strap can readily be withdrawn.
