- Be it known that I, DAVID T. GROCKETT, of the city of Newark, in the county of Essex, and State of New Jersey, have made certain improvements in an Implement for Housekeepers Use; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full and exact description of the same, reference being herein had 'to the drawings acconripau)7` ing this specification as being part thereof.

The naturebf my improvement consists vin forming of one piece of metal a combined hammer, screw-driver, and a tack-extractor, in a light, neat, and available manner.

In the drawings, A is the handle, B the hammer, C the screw-driver, and D the tack-extractor. The curve of the extractor resting on the ngers prevents the turning in the hand of the light,'sli1n handle, which otherwise would have to be much heavier for the hand to grasp to steady the hammer-head, which needs to be of some Weight. The position of the screw-driver gives such a rm holdI that 4screvvs disproportionally large can be turned therewith; The Whole is formed of one piece of metal.

I do not claim making the sides of the head even with the handle. What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Pateht of the United States, is- A n A hammer, screw-driver7 and tack-extractor combined, as shown, formed of one piece of metal, as a. new article'of manufacture.
