returning to this blog after lurking for 2 years because I might as well try to get it in order rather than start again | these days I'm highkey crying about John Silver but lowkey thinking about Star Trek

my dear friend shadi, who you might know if you follow this blog, recently lost his tent and phone after his area was bombed.

the cold days are approaching, and he and his family are without shelter. shadi is borrowing his sisters phone, but this only works as a temporary solution.

shadi urgently needs a new tent and phone. your support is crucial in keeping him and his loved ones safe.

Life Didn’t Go Back to Normal After the Ceasefire

The ceasefire doesn’t mean the suffering is over. The bombings didn’t stop. The pain didn’t end. We’re still in tents, trying to rebuild our life from nothing. Every small donation helps us start again — and welcome our baby coming soon 💔 Vetted By @bilal-sala7 Donate, share, and help us rebuild our lives, even a little.

Sorry if I bothered you, but your support means a lot Please share the post

I am Rania Adnan Hammouda from Gaza, and I am begging for your help.

My husband was badly injured, and the last surgery failed. Now, his condition is getting worse every day — he is in constant, unbearable pain, and doctors say he needs another surgery immediately, or his life will be at serious risk.

I watch him suffer, helpless, while trying to comfort our children — Samar, Soha, Ayat, Samer, Saly, and Mohammad — who are scared and asking why their father is hurting. My heart breaks every second.

Please, I am begging you — donate now to save his life. Even the smallest contribution can give him a chance to survive and bring hope back to my family. Time is critical — we cannot wait.

From the bottom of my heart,

We are living in Egypt, where we lost everything in Gaza. We lost our jobs, our dreams were shattered, and everything was destroyed. I wanted to return to Gaza with my children, who came after ten years through IVF, but the war destroyed everything, and life has become even more difficult due to my back pain, in addition to my son Ahmed, who has two holes in his heart and vision problems and needs surgery and ongoing follow-up and treatment.

Also, my family in Gaza is dying of hunger and bombing. I have lost a lot of my family and I don’t want to lose more. Help us. Whoever can donate even a little, this will help us a lot.

We need your help. The situation is very difficult. You are our last hope. Food, clothes, milk, rent—everything has become very expensive.

💔 Where is everyone? Why does no one hear us anymore? It’s been more than 10 days — no donations, no shares, not even a word of support. I’m writing this with a broken heart, from inside a torn tent that can’t protect us from heat or cold. We are a family living only on hope — with no food, no work, and no income. Every day we sleep hungry and wake up to a new kind of fear.

I beg you, from the bottom of my heart — even a small donation can save my family from hunger and the freezing nights. No one chooses to ask for help, but today I have to… for my mother and my siblings. Please, don’t scroll past us. Even the smallest act of kindness can change our fate. 💔

Please read this even if it hurts.

The world says the war is “over,” but tell me how is it over when my mother still wakes up gasping for breath? When every night I pray she survives until morning because I can’t afford the device that keeps her heart alive?

We lost our home. We lost everything. And now I’m watching the person who gave me life slowly fade in front of me —because we have nothing left but hope.

She needs a new heart device — $35,000 — to live. I’m begging you: don’t scroll past this like it’s just another post. Please donate, reblog, or share anything. Your act of kindness could literally save a life tonight.

Single mom of disabled teens needs help!

Updated 22 October 2025—Ibtisam has been raising her children on her own since her husband was martyred by the occupation in 2014. Then in 2023, they did the same to her eldest son. She cannot work due to the invasion, and her needs are compounded by the cost of treatment for her 18-y/o son and 15-y/o daughter, both of whom are disabled. Ibtisam and her family are currently starving, and as of that wasn’t bad enough, returned home, only to find their once-damaged house is now completely razed to the ground.

Not even the shell of the structure remains.

Additionally, Ibtisam's daughter Noha is very sick, and the whole family is severely fatigued from living on the street and traveling by foot. Donations are very slow, and now the "ceasefire" is in danger of total collapse.

The family is wracked with despair and really struggling to make it through each day. Your support is sorely needed right now, and will go towards securing shelter, medical treatment, and basic necessities.

Please help them find some glimmer of hope that they will have a future.

Before you scroll — did we really deserve this?

The war ended, but for Alaa and her children, the pain never did.

They’re still here, trapped in hunger and exhaustion, living in a small tent with almost nothing.

Every night, Alaa prays her children — Mona, Bakr, and Yamen — can sleep without crying from hunger.

There’s no food, no medicine, no warmth. Just fear, cold, and endless waiting.

The war destroyed their home.

Now hunger is destroying their bodies.

But you can change that — you can help them survive today.

Your help means food on their plates, medicine for Alaa, and hope in their hearts.

Every reblog, every dollar, every act of kindness matters.

Don’t turn away — stand with Alaa, Mona, Bakr, and Yamen today.

From the bottom of my heart,

Please, I need every donation and every reblog from you. Please share and donate; my husband needs you.

Ibtisam and her family were forced out of north Gaza under bomb and tank fire. The journey south was extremely hazardous, especially for Mohammed (18) with his injured leg and Nour (15) with her heart condition. They are utterly exhausted and deflated, and have absolutely no shelter. They are sleeping on the literal ground without so much as a pad or blanket. This is not only extremely uncomfortable, it’s also dangerous. Since they are totally exposed to the elements, funds previously being raised for transportation will now go toward purchasing a tent.

Current: $69,895 out of $72,274 CAD

Need to raise: $2,379 CAD (about $1,704 usd)

NOTE: Campaign is in Canadian dollars (CAD). $1 usd = about $1.38 CAD. To donate $10 usd, send $13.80 or $14 CAD. To donate $20 usd, send $27.69 or $28 CAD

I feel anxious and stressed and can't sleep because of the over thinking about my brother who is hungry and not safe and who needs money just to eat one meal a day and I still can't help him. I feel helpless.

In the heart of devastation, hundreds of hungry souls stand in long lines, holding empty pots with trembling hands — not out of habit, but out of desperate hope. Their eyes speak louder than words, filled with exhaustion, pain, and the silent cry for survival. Children and the elderly reach out through the barriers, longing not for luxury, but for a single warm meal. Amid ruins and ashes, makeshift fires try to fill empty stomachs, but the need is far greater than what little remains. This is not just a photo — it is a call for humanity, a plea for compassion. We need us now more than ever.
