well you see I don't live in a country where Islam has any political power, so it doesn't get to influence any aspects of my daily life, and as such I have no reason to be overly invested in critiquing it. making broad, sweeping statements condemning the culturally and politically dominant religion of your country is very different from making broad, sweeping statements condemning a religion that your country has demonized and used as a scapegoat for military intervention resulting in countless deaths and regional instability. when you change the words of a sentence the meaning and context of the sentence change too. hope this helps.

Everyone always paints trans women as easily offended not just because of transmisogyny, but also because y'all just don't even stop to think about all the shit we deal with every minute of every day. All day every day we don't just deal with misogyny, but then transmisogyny on top of it. And if the trans woman is non-white she's also dealing with racism on top of that. The successive recognitions of the State of Palestine are a natural and important entitlement, and they should have happened without the killing and destruction… but they will bear no fruit as long as the war on Gaza continues and the settler aggression in the West Bank persists.

Even after the wide recognition of the State of Palestine, nothing has changed the killing, displacement, destruction, and starvation all continue, as if the whole world is unable to stop this injustice.

I realize that my children and I are running here and there from death that follows us wherever we go, because there is no safe place.

We are only trying to endure for a few more days, fearing for my children from facing death.
