About Electronic City

Located in South Bangalore, Electronic City is one of the most popular information technology hubs of the state of Karnataka. It is located in Anekal Taluk and covers an area of over 800 acres. While it is majorly a commercial hub with plenty of electronics and I.T. industrial parks, it is also home to residential units and housing societies for those who want to stay close to their place of work. The Electronic City pin code is 560100. 

Electronic City, Bangalore, was established in the year 1978 by R.K. Baliga, the Chairman and Managing Director of Keonics, Karnataka Electronics. This locality, back then, covered 332 acres of land and covered two villages, Doddathogur and Agrahara. The area has always enjoyed excellent connectivity to the other parts of Bangalore, mainly via well-maintained roads. There are plenty of local and government bus services that ply from various parts of the city to Electronic City and vice versa. 

There are salaried individuals, business professionals, as well as business owners living here. Self-employed people and families make up the rest of the demographic. I have been living in Electronic City for more than 6 years now and it's great. The locality has good roads, metro access, and everything nearby.

I love the greenery and peaceful vibe, but traffic during peak hours can get frustrating at times.

Several types of properties available for investment

I did not find this locality good. Street lights are not there in narrow lanes

Connectivity is improving with the metro, but some inner roads still need better maintenance.
