How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The hotel is in an absolutely perfect location. It’s no more than a three or four minute walk to the major tourist attractions in the area. It is just simply the perfect location to the markets, to food, to tourist attractions and to transport yet it still very quiet. The staff are just simply brilliant and could not be any more helpful than they were. The rooftop bar and the restaurant is simply stunning.

Very impressed from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Beautiful hotel furnished and cleaned to very high standards. Loved the stained glass reception entrance doors. Stunning views from the restaurant on top two floors. All staff are friendly and very keen to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Room 306 with a balcony had great views of the Bosphorus, it was large, always clean, and easy to keep cool. The private transfer taxis were large and comfortable and on time with pleasant mannered drivers. Good to see a bin for recycling in the room. Breakfasts and evening meal were excellent with an extensive food choice. Cold drinks were always refreshing and ideally cold. Proximity to various attractions and shops in Sultanamet and Faith areas made it a perfect location. Aydin is a very helpful Manager who recommended a very good private tour guide. Housekeeping Ladies decorated our bed beautifully for our anniversary, a delightful and emotional surprise.

Everything was just perfect!
We loved totally everything. The best location in town, super clean, friendly stuff, excellent breakfast , excellent restaurant. The best staff ever from chef, to cleaning stuff to receptionist. We felt super comfortable, safe and special how they treated us in this gorgeous hotel.

We have stayed there twice. The second visit, the morning breakfast was being run by the manager rather than the amazing regular gentleman. The manager was not as friendly nor were things as organized.
The location is amazing. Stroll the gardens of the Blue Mosque and walk one road to the hotel. Perfect.

Everything was great
The service is top level, from reception, waiting staff, housekeeping and drivers, everyone here goes out of their way to make you feel special. Location is possibly the best I have ever seen Breakfast is very good with a fantastic view

Fantastic location right near the Blue Mosque. Mustafa the owner was always approachable and accommodating. Reception staff only to happy to assist with any queries. The buffet breakfast was excellent Certainly would stay again

Great location within easy walking distance of the Hagia Sophia and the other main attraction in Istanbul. Nice restaurant with an excellent breakfast.

Magnaura is in a great location close to the Blue Mosque and some nice shops. The gents at the front desk, the gents in the rooftop restaurant, and the ladies in housekeeping were fantastic… friendly, welcoming, helpful, kind, and professional. They helped me arrange transportation to and from the airport as well as a tour guide, with detailed and timely communication via Booking.com in preparation for my stay which was much appreciated.

Great location. Breakfast had a huge array but the hot food eg scrambled egg sat in the hot box for hours and looked very unappealing by about 10am.too much choice. Would be better with fewer items and better quality

Room is quiet small, and there is no balcony,just big window, also the view is to Bosforus, but you can see all the mess in the yard, so not that romantic.
Location is perfect, staff is super friendly and nice. Breakfast is good for short period, if you stay week or longer it would be boring. View from terrace is very beautiful.

Everything was great.
I rely on folks giving truthful reviews on this hotel and the reviews were true to form. This hotel has an absolute perfect location for the main mosques. It is about a three minute stroll to the Blue Mosque. The location could not be more easy to navigate. The hotel itself was extremely clean. The beds were great. I personally found the pillows not as soft I I prefer but that is just my preference. My husband thought they were fine. We enjoyed the stay so much we have four nights books upon our return to Istanbul at the end of our trip to Turkey. On to the staff and breakfast. The staff were friendly and very kind. The gentleman working the breakfast room was an example of non stop energy. The food was amazing and the terrace restaurant had views of the whole area. Everything was outstanding.
