Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Host was very nice Breakfast was simple but good quality Don’t worry about being too hot , Pai is cool anyway and the roof is reflective so the hut is very cool. We were actually cold in the morning! We didn’t get bit once thanks to the mosquito net Showers were basic but warm water. Location is 10 min walk out of main part of Pai but close to the main road so perfect if you rent a Scooter which we recommend to do in Pai Cheap laundry.

Amazing value, 10/10 if you’re looking for a secluded place in nature with bare material needs being met. They had everything we needed - private room, mosquito net, warm comforters, a secluded nature atmosphere, and kind staff + the cutest and sweetest cats.

AustraliaNothing this place is beautiful 😍
Cute little bungalows overlooking a scenic paddock with cows. It's nice to lay in the hammock on the bungalow balcony and watch the world go by. The staff are very friendly and warm. They were very kind to me when I was sick, thank you. The breakfast is scrumptious, especially the giant fruit and yoghurt bowl ! I loved eating breakfast by the fire in the cold morning and chatting with the other guests. The toilets are pristinely clean ! The 3 orange cats are super cute, too. Twin Hut is exceptionally good value for money. We stayed 8 nights. I can't wait to come again.

AustraliaIt was quite cold overnight. We were fortunate to have our cold weather gear with us so we were fine, but may be worth bringing an extra layer or two!
We loved our stay at Twin Hut. It was so nice to stay out of the direct hustle and bustle of the town, but still only be a short walking distance away. We loved relaxing on our hammock and taking in the nature around us. The breakfast was incredible, we had the choice between banana pancakes, fruit and muesli or eggs on toast and they were all delicious. One of our favourite parts of our time in Pai was eating breakfast around the campfire. Pat was an incredible host, always had a big smile on his face. It’s a testament to the owners and the property when people have been there for months and months. Will definitely stay here again if we return to Pai!

CanadaIt’s just cold in the rooms at night! They do have warm blankets but it’s quite cold as the huts are just that. They’re not solid walls and there wasn’t really anywhere for me to put my stuff other than the floor. A nice little shelf would have been perfect!
It was so beautiful. It was nice and quiet and the people there were amazing. Even a breakfast and a coffee included! People would make fires in the morning to sit around because it was cold before the sun was fully up. I loved the cows in the fields around and it was really nice energy.

Super calm place to stay! Really lovely breakfast and cute room with hammock. Short walk into town so far enough away from everything to feel like you're in a little oasis. Shared bathroom and shower was always clean and stocked up.

BelgiumSome equipment needs to be refreshed. Our bungalow had a hammock in poor condition and very uncomfortable. One or 2 small comfortable chairs per bungalow would also be a good idea.
The location of Twin Hut is perfect! You will be less than 10 minutes walk from the center but still in a super relaxing area, full of nature. The huts are good, with mosquito nets and a fan if needed. The shared bathrooms are daily cleaned.

ChinaNot about the homestay itself. But can hear some parties that are loud at night and I happened to encounter two drunkard speaking on the phone on the pathway next to the property at 2am that woke me up. So I hope people who come here to ‘have fun’ could at least be respectful to human well-being and be more responsible in co-creating a healthy and peaceful community instead of RUINING it with careless behaviors. This is a beautiful country with beautiful people that offer us all the privileges and comfort to enjoy life, not to trash it. Many thanks.

GermanyMattress was kinda hard and a few clubs/ music around at night. But totally tolerable(:
The family that hosted the stay was so lovely and polite. Everything was just perfect. The hut itself with a nice view and hammock, THE BREAKFAST and the laundry service that we used. Laundry smelled so good and came back perfectly folded. Heavy on the breakfast one where you could choose between 3 delicious meals that were personally made for you (: If we ever go to Pai again, we’d definitely stay here again.

SingaporeWalking back to the property in the dark after dinner. A section of the pathway will be completely dark after some 50 m or so from the bamboo bridge.
Very basic rustic hut. A fan is provided but was never used because the weather in the morning and night is very cooling. Mattress is firm but comes with very comfortable duvet. Toilet and shower area are shared. Honestly don't expect much for the hut and the facilities. A simple breakfast was provided as well. Owner and family are very friendly and are a great host. Offers great suggestions around Pai. Location is great. Bus station, night market and lively Pai are pack in one small area and accessible by a bamboo bridge (a short cut). Host is accommodating and allowed me to store my big and heavy luggage with them while I make a trip to Soppong. Laundry is very affordable (35 baht/kg). Every morning, one is waking up to cool fresh air (at least for this time of the year).

AustraliaSome people may find the facilities very basic (eg fan, mosquito net) but I found it very reasonably priced and there was nothing I didn’t like, everything was fine.
I loved the location as it was across the river so not too close to walking street but close enough to get there and back very easily. I loved watching the sunsets from my hammock of an evening, the surrounding landscape is lovely. The bungalows are basic but clean and what you would expect for the price. I loved the breakfasts and they did an excellent job with my laundry! Shared bathrooms were cleaned daily and staff very helpful. I would definitely stay again.

GermanyBest place to stay in Pai! You feel like in the middle of the nature , but you are also super close to the center , and it's so easy to get there from the bus station , just 10 minutes walking. So you get the best of both worlds, nature and Party! :D The huts are very cute, just like on the pictures, I liked to chill on the little balcony and watch the birds. I was there during the hottest season, but it was still not too hot at night, no need for an aircon. I stayed two nights longer because I liked it so much. Owner is very friendly and has two lovely cats. Had banana pancakes for breakfast, very delicious, and the coffee is very good. It really is an experience, hope to go there again one day.
