Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceIt had rained before we arrived and the road from the town to the bungalows is a dirt track. Just make sure you are wearing trainers
The small bungalows are lovely, clean and an amazing experience to stay in. The owner is also extremely kind and make a wonderful breakfast

AustraliaThe hut I was in towards the bathrooms at the end of the property started to have a few unpleasant smells nearby - it could have been the toilets, or anything! Not necessarily something that can be fixed or the fault of the hosts. They kept the property so looked after!
Twin Hut felt like a home away from home! The hosts are so helpful and lovely, and it was a perfect reprieve from Pai town. I absolutely loved coming home to my little hut each time, it truly felt like you were in the countryside and such a needed escape from the tourist crowds. The banana pancakes and tea each morning was perfect, and there was opportunity to chat to people in the communal breakfast room - if that’s what you wanted! The hut and bathrooms were basic but super clean and all I needed. The hammock and meditation cushions on the little balconies were a nice touch and used every day! I extended my stay a night to stay 5 nights, and could have easily stayed longer.

NetherlandsIt’s close to the walking street but you feel like you are in a middle of nowhere. I was woken up in the morning by roosters and spend my day observing cows and horses, and nights have the most beautiful orchestra, crickets and frogs and many other animals. REAL PARADISE! Lovely hut, very comfortable bed and a lot of privacy- stuff was so friendly and polite! ITS A MUST SEE

Nice garden and view of mountains! Nice and chill people there. New ZealandEverything is amazing! If your craving a pool in the midday heat the “fluid swimming pool” is a 10min walk and is 100 Baht entry
This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for something close to the walking street but still in the countryside. The huts are surrounded by beautiful fields and the sunsets from the balcony of our hut were stunning. There is an amazing free breakfast every morning from 8am-11am, there is 3 options (fruit, eggs or pancake) I recommend the fruit bowl it is huge and has yoghurt and musli. We also got our clothes cleaned here, it’s 35 Baht for 1kg we dropped them off at 11am and they were done by 6pm all clean, dry and neatly folded.

GermanyWe had a lovely stay at Twin Hut. We were a little surprised how rustic the huts are but ended up loving it. You have everything you need and it’s very clean. The comforters are cleaned after every stay and smell very fresh! Also there are no mosquitos! However you will feel very connected to nature. The hammock and your own little balcony make you feel right at home. Oh and the breakfast is delicious! I miss the banana pancakes already ! We could have easily spend 2 more weeks here Thank you!

The place is rustic/ basic but excellent value for money . Wonderfully peaceful and so close to the centre but without the noise. Wake up to beautiful noises of wildlife. Staff are excellent , helpful , friendly, and happy. Washing done very quickly and cheaply and came back so clean and fresh . Breakfast was great with a good choice. We are delighted with our stay and would stay again. The best place we have stayed so far on our thailand trip .
