Not much on the negative side. I like this place.

You find The Phen House in a small quit alley only 50 meters from the beautiful beach. The surroundings are quit. The room is large with a larger than normal fridge. There’s a small kitchen but you can not cock your own food. There is a safety box. Shower and toilet is good. Bed a bit too hard for my taste. No breakfast is included but there is a small restaurant 1 minute away. I can recommend this place.

2 km to old city, but there are often songtheaws with 15 Baths or cheap tuktuk or taxi cars.

A big room. Air conditioner. Free chips and fruits (mango, banana) every morning. 1 minute to beach. Nice and clean sand and sea. Restaurants and 7Eleven near. Two malls nearby.

The sink had a slow drip and a very noisy fan in the bathroom. Not a nice view from the balcony.

Really nice staff and gave me good suggestions for activities. Separate kitchen area with plug in sink so it was possible to wash clothes. 2 bottles of water every day and always fresh fruit and cookies available. They even gave me a gift when I checked out after only 3 nights (see pucture).

Some guests were sometimes too noisy.

The owners and especially the house maids were super friendly. The beach ⛱️ was just a few meters. Very close to Market Village and Blueport.

Bathrooms are outdated, but functional.

Very quiet area, clean large rooms, comfy beds, and a 2 minute walk to beach; 15 minute stroll to Market Mall or Bluport Mall.

A little hard to find, initially. Maybe the sign had fallen down.

It was very close to the beach. There was a cafe next door with very good food, inexpensive. The hotel was small and cozy. Staff were not English speakers but friendly and helpful.

Smoking was allowed right outside the rooms but the doors are not sealed so if guests from any of the other rooms are sitting outside smoking, smoke gets in the room. The doors are big sliding glass doors that are quite loose with large gaps around the edges.

The location was fantastic. Right next to the beach and a lovely little restaurant. Everything you need is right on your doorstep. Pet friendly (including the restaurant next door) and easy to walk the dog on the beach. The staff are ere very friendly and welcoming too.

I like how it felt like a mini home, separate kitchen with microwave, basin and drying rack to wash and dry clothes if you wish. Spacious room

Cleaning was a bit irregular but on simple request any little problem got solved immediately (sometimes no towels, no soap, no cleaning,…) I wonder if the airco has a regular maintenance/cleaning.

The bed is not the softest, but comfortable enough. Make sure to book in advance if you want to stay longer-term during the busy season!

Nice little hotel that's extremely close to the beach (hence the high marks here). The room is on the simple side, but it has everything you could possibly need (including a little kitchen area with microwave and a clothes-drying rack), and is therefore good value for the price. The staff are also very kind and there's a restaurant next door where you can eat breakfast.
