We found some uses snus(bagged tobacco) on one of the shelves in the bedroom. The outside area where you can walk around the property, needs some maintenance! It was overgrown and branches were broken crossing the path.

It was a cute modern place. In a beautiful location lots of nature around.

It would be great to have been able to adjust the hot tub temperature, but everything was lovely.

I decided to book this spot so my family could have a little respite from our days in the bustling streets of Amsterdam and it was 100% the correct choice! My kids were able to wander freely around the grounds, enjoying the trampoline, swings and nature trails. The breakfast was a delight and catered towards our vegetarian needs. The beds were really comfortable and the hot tub was lovely.

The place had a cool, quirky vibe that we really enjoyed, and our teen kids loved it. The hot tub was a great bonus, and all the facilities were spotless. It was nice to be a little removed from the chaos of Amsterdam — peaceful and relaxing — but still super quick and easy to get into the city centre. I was a little wary about the comments mentioning planes flying overhead, but my husband, who’s an aerospace enthusiast, was absolutely delighted! We didn’t hear any during the night, so they may stop after a certain time — it didn’t affect our sleep at all. We’d definitely recommend staying here and would happily visit again.

Was a little tricky to locate the property

Beautiful property, especially the hot tub. Having a cabin in the middle of the forest was a great highlight. Bikes available on rent to go to the city. Food was amazing as well. Staff was courteous.

Amazing! We love it! The apartments are cosy and very well equipped. But definitely the staff is the “cake cherry” here! We arrived late, the kitchen was closed, they re-open the kitchen to offer us a dinner! Despite the fact they are very friendly and helpful. It will definitely be our first option in our next trip to Amsterdam!

The unit was a bit of a trek from the parking, but you can ask for help from the cleaning staff with a golf cart. I barely heard the noise from the airplanes.

It felt like being in the countryside but convenient to the city. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were nice and helpful. My unit was very comfortable.

We got a unit with a hot tub, which was not warm enough and also slimy. We gave feedback to reception. Some fixtures in our unit were broken, like the toilet flusher and the shower door. Also, you are right on the flight path, so it takes away from some peacefulness, but overall, when you consider that you are near a major city and not on a country getaway, it’s not that bad.

Beautiful area, we had a lot of fun exploring nearby on bikes, including the neighboring farms. There’s a nice park if you have kids and the main village also has a small playground for kids. It is not too far from Amsterdam, which you can reach by renting a bike directly from them. Welcome drink was a nice touch.

I chose Basecamp as a lucky shot, wanted to try something different. It was exceptional. While reduced in terms of design, it was like a mini vacation. Lush greenery, unwinding after business. The only thing one needs to consider is that it's a bit away from the city center. So be sure to use the bike rental, be comfortable with public transport (direct bus route near) or calculate longer for getting a ride hail. But this even adds to the 'holiday feeling'. Will go again definitely should I need to be in Amsterdam again.

The second bedroom being somewhat too tight and lack proper window (only one on the roof for air circulation). The bathroom is quite small and the stairway is steep and one has to be very careful when ascending or descending it - especially so when we have my elderly mother who have just recovered from toe surgery.

Love so many things about this place - the location in natural surrounding not too far from the city, the friendly team of staff, breakfast is satisfying and good value for money. The chalet itself (The Barn) is quite spacious with a living room with fireplace downstair and the veranda where we can sit outside to enjoy the cool air. The 2 bedrooms can accommodate 4 people alright - with the main bedroom being adequate size but the second bedroom is just too tight.

The only drawback is that - and this didn't make it less comfortable or less a pleasure, but just my consideration - when is warm the temperature rises rapidly inside, there's air conditioned anyway, so not a problem for comfort, but that makes it a bit weird considering the eco-friendly and green environment, having to turn ac on with less just 20 C degrees outside. Maybe this is the upside for cold temperatures, but from May it makes them energy intensive.

Very nice location even if not so close to the city you can reach it with Uber or Taxi that are often in the area around so you don't need to wait a lot. The cabins are super nice, comfortable and reach in furnishing. The people are super kind and available. It's been above my expectation!

Amazing and well-designed rooms surrounded by nature! Highlight was the lovely outdoor sauna and the grounds around the property. Best part is that it’s dog-friendly and they even put up a dog bed in our room. The location is a little secluded so it would be great to have your bikes with you or a car. In any case, we would completely stay here again for a weekend retreat!
