The nearest bus stop was about a 1.5km walk from the hotel and there was no train/metro station close by

The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The surroundings were beautiful and green.

No outside table to eat at just 3 ‘loungers’ for 6 person self catered property and little in the way of food available on site so had to cook and eat inside which was a shame as very hot weather Due to hot weather rooms especially upstairs very very hot

The aeroplanes were frequent and early. This didn’t bother my son or husband but I am a light sleeper so it did wake me up on the first night. After a full day cycling the next day, however, I slept right through it the next night.

The location was very pleasant. We rented bikes from the apartment and were able to circle all around the area safely. We had a property with a hot tub, which we were able to use whenever we wanted. We opted for evening soaks under the stars.

My only complaint is that the unbound is outside the city center, and the nearest grocery store is a Lidl one mile away from the property. Entrance to public transportation is also one mile away from the unbound.

The location is outside the city center, it is quiet and cozy. The bar serves good drinks in an open-air atmosphere. Next to the hotel is a local farmers' market that sells organic food. I stayed in the lighthouse, and the size and layout exceeded my expectations, also the hot tub worked well and comfortably fit three people.

If you're an outdoor person/family, don't mind travelling by public transportation or bike to reach a city center, love quiet places, like to cook for yourself, enjoy plane watching and colorful sunsets, this place is for you. The cabins at The Unbound offer all of this and more for a great price for a family. This place is cute, well kept and well out of the busy, noisy and polluted city centers. Enjoy a stroll through the countryside to see ponies on a farm 1.5km away, jog your heart out on the well kept trails, bike away on the well marked lanes, all while still having the option to visit the outstanding historic center of Amsterdam in the afternoons. Top that up with air conditioning inside the cabins and an almost complete lack of bugs/mosquitos on this property, in spite of all the canals, open fields and standing water surrounding it!
