Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe extremely loud music which feels like you are in a club from 11am ish via a DJ at the pool. This is completely unnecessary and ruins any chances of relaxing. I really think they need to change this aspect to 4pm start so it can allow guests that want to relax the chance to do so but also those that want to party can do so from 4pm. The music was also mainly EDM/trance which caters to a very narrow audience. There was a small section of hip hop which people clearly appreciated but then went back to EDM. The food options are really limited overall for the all inclusive. We only stayed 3 nights but went out on the third night due to the overall lack of choice. It’s also weird that you have to get a bill and sign for it after meals, I don’t understand the rationale for that as it can all just be recorded against your room.
Great location, very big room and good that you can access sister hotels.

United StatesThe techno music and DJ starts EVERY DAY at 1 pm next to the pool. It is played nonstop at 90 to 100 decibels. I had to wear earplugs to swim. No one in the hotel cares to help reduce the volume. I witnessed people checking out of the hotel and going elsewhere. I went to a beachclub for most of my stay in order to escape the rooftop insanity. Of course, I had the additional cost of the beachclub which I didn't plan for. If you are looking for some quiet time for your vacation, DO NOT STAY HERE.!!!
Breakfast menu and staff were great.

United KingdomThe noise at nighttime (but that’s pretty much everywhere in Mexico). It gets quiet at 23:00 which is fine.
Excellent location, close to the main street of Playa del Carmen and less than 500m away from the beach. Facilities were great and especially the rooftop pool and bar were great. We went all inclusive which allowed us to access the other resorts which made for a nice change of scenery. Food at this property was really good too.

United StatesOur view was the street below, hot tub was cold, we paid extra for all inclusive to find out it isn’t “all inclusive “. We paid for dinner on the beach but no one could schedule when we got there. I got an email back a week later that said they would refund my money in 20-25 days. After a long day of travel they tried to sell stuff to us before we could check in and eat. The beach was a 10 minute drive away.
Staff was semi friendly, the view from the roof was pretty.

AustraliaUpon arrival, the concierge told us there was a presentation which included gifts like excursion coupons and such. We sat through a 90 minute presentation about a time share of the sister properties which I did not like one bit. The host was visibly angry/upset when I told them no we didnt want any part of a timeshare. Could have been a lot clearer about what this "presentation" was about. Be mindful that this is what it is. The room next door was quite noisy but it was our last day so it wasn't too bad.
The food, drinks and the super helpful staff. When they say "all inclusive" they bloody mean it. We spent one of the days on the rooftop for hours. Cocktails galore, shot after shot (try the "beer shot" you'll thank me later), and the adults only part was probably my favourite. Really got to enjoy the experience with my boyfriend. Food quality and variety was awesome, very close to shops and 5th Avenue.

United StatesThe only thing I didn’t like is the first person to greet us was someone trying to sell us timeshare at the property. The individual is very nice and we simply explained that we were not interested. I would Recommend that they rethink their check in process.
great location, staff members were super good, rooftop pool was one of the best we visited, access to their two other sister properties.
