How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room are on a smaller side. Even though Booking.com say can accommodate 4 ppl, in reality is meant for 2 or 3 ppl.
The location is fantastic. Just a cross road away from Gotanda JR and subway station.

The hotel can be reached by walking less than 5 mins from Gotanda Station, it is a very peaceful and quiet area. There are lots of restaurants and shops, such as Uniqlo, Muji and supermarket nearby.

I enjoyed my stay here but I wish the detail in the room cleanliness was looked at more carefully. We had to shift the bed to be able to get to the bed from both sides, and when we moved the bed, it had looked like they never vacuumed. There were also some dirt/mold spots in the shower area... I may be holding the cleanliness to a higher standard since it is Japan.
I loved the location, it was really close to the station and to eateries and shops. The breakfast was well worth the extra cost, it had the same menu almost everyday but there was enough variety to make different combinations. I also appreciated the staff being multi lingual and understanding of our needs.

The bathroom exhaused fan wasn't working so the room smelt a bit funky esp on the first day. We booked for 3 people but only had 2 pillows and 2 towels in the room. We asked for another pillow but we're told that we can only have the pillows that were available in the room. Breakfast could be improved, it's pretty much the same everyday. Last order is also at 9am which is quite early so if you get there after 8:30am you're pretty much eating whatever was left.
The location is great since it's on the yamanote line and within minutes to the station.

We couldn't get sheets to cover the extra bed that was in the room which would have helped us to sleep a little bit more comfortably.
We liked that the hotel was right across the JR Yamamote line and that the rooms were surprisingly quiet despite being so close to the train station.

The room size is small, but we don't complain for this rate.
It's just 3 minutes walk from JR Gotanda Station, excellent location! Staffs were friendly too.

Very tiny rooms, no spare blankets or mattresses. The staff was good but when truly needed help they didn’t try above the normal.

Wifi is pretty bad in the rooms further away from elevators, we couldn't connect to any router, BUT after complaining to staff they installed our own router in our room - problem solved. It's kind of overpriced for a standard business hotel setup

Bathroom ceiling a bit on the lower side. But we managed.
Very good location just across the road from Gotanda JR Station. There is a Family Mart at the ground floor.

I booked a single - which is very small ! Expensive for what you get Also the insulation is not great as I could hear some noise from the corridor and the rooms next door

carpet under the bed had dustballs, though room was cleaned daily and sheets changed regularly, under the bed it was dirty.

The room appeared to have the same size beds as the other tripple rooms we had booked in Hiroshima and Kanazawa, but when we got in there the beds were 3 twin/king single beds. We had to push all the beds together and put blankets on the floor to fit out 2 adults and 3 kids. We called reception but they said this was their largest room and there wasn't another way to accomodate us all. The photos suggest that there is 2 doubles as well as a twin. But that is stretched out.
The hotel was well positioned to easily reach Gotanda station. We weren't left with many options so had to get off the main Yamonte line to give us a cheaper hotel. The hotel had all the things we would need to get through. It was very clean and had accomodating staff who allowed us to drop our baggage off early. There is a Family Mart infront of the foyer so it made for easy access to snacks. It is a few minutes walk from Gotanada Station.

I am tall (190 cm) so I kept hitting my head in the entrance door, but when inside the room it was fine.
Superb location on the Yamanote circle line. Bed was nice and they had a lot of amenities.

The staff didn't explain how the cleaning service or the towel renewal worked, nor anything about microwave ovens, etc. The corridors are very dark.

Room a little congested and small for a family of 2 adults and 2 children . 1 dbl bed and 1 sgl bed was offered but we barely fit in it . Its good for a sgl or couple
