Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceThe only thing that I would suggest is to install curtains in every bed for more privacy.
A perfect choice for your stay in Granada! Perfect location, clean and comfortable! The beds are really comfy! I would like to thank Rebbeca in reception for the help and the valuable information she gave me about the city like things to do, where to eat etc.

AustraliaTOC felt more like a modern hotel than a typical hostel. My room was very nice, especially the bathroom, and the overall cleanliness exceeded my expectations. The front desk staff were also incredibly welcoming and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable.

ColombiaI think this is more of a hotel with shared rooms than a true hostel. Before arriving, I asked through the Booking.com messaging system about the easiest and most convenient way to get there. They recommended taking a taxi instead of the bus, even though the bus was ten times cheaper. When I got to the room, one of the guests had already taken my locker and got upset when I politely asked if I could use hers, since mine was taken. Also, the bathroom had a strange layout with very little privacy—it’s placed right at the entrance to the room, so you have to walk through it to reach the bedroom. The staff were okay but didn’t really give off the usual hostel vibe. They weren’t very helpful with tips or suggestions or interested on talking with guests—it felt more like a distant hotel service. If you want breakfast for 7 euros, you have to let them know a day in advance, otherwise it costs 8 euros. And finally, I didn’t like that they charge 3 euros to store your bags after checkout, which isn’t something you typically see in most hostels.
The place looks modern, clean and is close to the city center, which is very convenient. They also moved me to a mostly women’s room when I asked, which I appreciated.

United StatesI wish they had a bigger fridge, they had a small dorm sized fridge, it was barely cold. Also they really need to add privacy curtains in the dorms. And they charge for storing luggage.
This hostel is beautiful and looks super glam. Reception/lobby area feels like checking into a hotel instead of hostel. Lot of areas to sit/lounge around, some in the open if you want to hang out with a larger group, and little nooks with comfy chairs for the needed quiet times. There’s a large pool table in the lounge room. There’s a laundry room, and great space in the kitchen to eat. It’s really clean and modern. Beds were comfy and conveniently had a light/plug socket in each bed. There’s also a washroom but the shower and toilet had its own separate areas/doors so multiple people can use the washroom at the same time. Also a large locker than can fit a carry on bag and backpack.

GermanyI would like a curtain for the beds, so you have some more privacy. Also one shared bathroom for 6 people was somehow not the best solution

United StatesWe loved the layout of the room, and how effectively the space was used. Each bed had a charger, pouch, and light, which was perfect for each family member. The room also had ample storage space so we didn’t clutter the room. We enjoyed the balcony area and even saw a parade right outside the window which was a unique experience for us! The staff was friendly and always accessible. As a family of five, we often have to book two rooms at traditional hotels, but this space allowed us to stay together.

GermanyThe kitchen and fridge is funnily small. Half size fridge and if there are 3 ppl in the kitchen, it’s full. It also discourages us to cook at all. Maybe that’s the plan?
Perfect. Bed is super comfortable. Staff is ultra friendly that offering immediate support and even remembering us! Common area is also really comfortable to sit and chill. There are cooperating parking lots with discounts (we still paid 24€/day) so better don’t come with car like us.

AustraliaNicer places to sit and eat - kitchen was a bit tucked away and small. Needed more places to hang towels in the room to dry! Also ladders to top bunk are tricky - too big a jump from the bottom step to the floor for short people !
The bed was super comfy, staff were very nice and great to have a staffed reception not just online communication from the property
