Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyIt was my first time traveling alone and I think this hostel is perfect for that! The staff are super nice and always ready to help when needed. There are events every day and the possibility to go out every night. You can join anywhere at any time, you don't have to sign up or anything. The beds are very comfortable, you have a kind of little bunk to yourself because of the curtains. i had a very good time! There were only nice people there.

United StatesThe hostel has activities everyday and people are super chill there. They cook dinner some days or have sangrias, have tours and other stuff. They go out to bars and then clubs everyday and you get into clubs for free because you’re in the hostel. I loved my stay! Felt really sad to leave because the vibe is so good :(

United KingdomFor my first ever hostel stay, I couldn't have asked for anything more. It was clean, air-conned and the terrace is really cute. But the people there and the volunteers/staff absolutely make this place! They honestly can't do enough for you, they're so much fun, they'll always keep you safe if you've had a little too much to drink and there is always something going on for you. (shout out to Aiden, Marcos & Rebecca - absolute legends)! Hostel One Ramblas team you are THE BEST! Thank you for an unforgettable experience. Miss you all already!

United KingdomThe hangovers.
Everything about this hostel was fantastic. I've been to 9 countries this year, but this trip by far was my favourite. The rooms are great, the facilities are clean, it's really solo travellers friendly, there are events everyday for people to get involved with. Shout-out to Deaven, Leila, Agustin, Rebecca, Kieren and all the other volunteers during my stay. Legends and so much fun. I will be back for sure.

PortugalCurtains are dirty, Location is not so good and for pub crawl they don't have good options like other hostels. The door of the dorms are unlocked.
The volunteers were amazing and I can't say the same of the staff.

IrelandI think overall it was fine. They can't possibly make the place bigger. It is what it is.
While the hostel is good for 1-2 nights, It was way smaller than I had expected. I have been at many hostels and never seen a hostel this small. Overall the location is perfect. we stayed 4 nights and it was fine. This was a room shared by 4 people. Usually the hostels have at least two showers on a floor. There was only 1 shower and 1 toilet for girls.

United StatesWas not particularly clean and was a very clear renovated apt. building with all the drawbacks thereto pertaining. I stayed in multiple Onefams and this was in the hottest (temp wise) Barca neighborhood. There was a disheartening incident where a fellow female hostel resident I did not know became too intoxicated on a hostel-sponsored bar crawl; when I saw she was clearly in danger, I returned with her (a stranger) and solicited assistance from staff. However, they were dismissive/ill-prepared to deal with the situation and chastised *me* for the volume of escorting the passed-out stranger to her bed (still unsure how this was supposed to be a quiet process). She fell out of a top bunk which caused a loud thump, and they laughed while I ran up to assist her (this is not an exaggeration). Essentially, I think that if they are going to sponsor these (very fun!) pub crawls there should be equally rigorous training to allow staff to be proactive and prepared for the potential negative results of such situations, instead of leaving it to random guests — the girl could have been in real danger if I and other well-meaning guests were not around. Nobody has to be a doctor and I’m not saying they need to be, but training staff properly to facilitate an effective response, or at least a compassionate one when a woman in your hostel is dead weight and falling over/being cared for by absolute strangers, would have been appreciated.
Joining the rest of the Onefams on the pub crawl was fun. It was located very close to a pharmacy and supermercado, and was walking or metro distance to a lot of fun activities.

NorwayUnfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The bed was uncomfortable, and the rooms were too small, making the stay unpleasant. There was also an unpleasant smell of sweat, and the sound of the water pipes kept running all night, making it difficult to sleep. Additionally, they have a strange policy that forces everyone to leave the lounge at midnight, which makes the hotel unsuitable for those who want to relax outside their room. I do not recommend it.

United KingdomThe description didn’t exactly say it was a social hostel , I may have missed it, therefore, it was loud. Mattress was kind of sinking and beddings didn’t really seem fresh. The toilets/bathrooms could be cleaner

United StatesThey have a 8 bed bedroom that has a divider in the middle of the room, one side has 8 bunk bed and the other side another 8. You sleep with 16 people in ONE ROOM and pay the price of 8. Only one AC for the whole room. They claim because of the divider the other side is another room, expect, they all have to leave through the same door… definitely not a place to get rest. I woke up in numerous times due to people come in at 6am and the room being SO HOT
The staff is absolutely amazing! They make you feel welcome with all the activities they have planned. Lots of times they get together with other Onefam locations to go out. Absolutely loved the activities and the people there .

South Korea-Beds were a bit uncomfortable. Mine seemed to dip in the middle so you'd sink towards middle. -There was only one shower and toilet for each gender on each floor. Was sometimes problematic as people needed to wait. -Also limited room for putting things in bathroom. Need more hooks and some shelving ideally. -Had to pay €2 for a towel. No deposit for return or anything. Just had to pay for it...
-Very social hostel with planned activities and going out nights everyday -Fun and inclusive atmosphere created by staff and guests -Lockers under beds but need to bring your own lock -Fairly close to metro and bus stops. Only 20min on bus to the beach or a 40min walk

CanadaI absolutely love a night out, for sure. But the pressure to do drinking games and binge drink is too much for me here, sad to see. I drink, but can't hang out and feel safe in an establishment that pours the shots down your throat. Creeps me out. Lets drink, but not with all the chaotic peer pressure please. Unfortunate my sober friend couldn't join in too, they were trying to make her drink even after she said no several times.

ItalyThe "drinking games" in the only one common indoors space of the hostel from 21:00-10:30 almost every night. Too noisy for my taste, but still the terrace was quiet and available until 22:00 as an alternative option.
Cool atmosphere, polite and kind people in the stuf. Very well organised. Quiet during the sleeping hours. Very clean.

TurkeyWhen I was there, they organized a dinner and an event which you can drink champagne after it. But they didn't offer me any glass of champaign although I was sitting there. I think he was the owner of the hostel or director. But it was not a good attitude. If you arrange any event like that please bring enough drinks and don't seperate your guests. Unfortunately, they are separating the guests. But regular workers was okay and very friendly.
It is a place for young travellers. You can find a lot of games and entertainment. Workers were friendly.

Swedenloads of activities, a great thing. we get back 3 from the last club, cleaning starts at 7, stairs with a broom… exactly next to where the room was. so it’s nice and clean but not much sleep if you join the activities. went to bed early one night also not much sleep since laundry gets done at 11.00 to 1.00 am. so regardless, always some noise cleaning at night. very nice and clean tough.
