Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Location was excellent with a great bus service outside the door. The Costa Coffee shop attached to the hotel was convenient for early morning coffee in the room. Good value for money

GermanyLittle bit far away to center with walking but easy to access with busses or trams. The only bad thing is when they cleaned the room they throwed lock of the little travel bottle so we can't use that bottle for travel anymore.
Very comfy beds we didn't want to get up 🤣, big and clean room. They got our bags until check in. We come back touring after midnight neighbor was safe.

United KingdomThe corridor is kind of dirty, even scary at night. I guess it is because of dirty carpet or some wired empty rooms.
The room has everything you need and it is clean. Location is also good, with tram nearby. The staff is friendly and I stored my luggage during the day.

United StatesThe room got a bit hot & stuffy during the night, but a small fan was already in the room which helped.
Room was larger than expected, with tall ceilings and large, beautiful windows. The hotel itself is a bit old and maybe outdated in some ways, but I really enjoyed the character it had. The bathroom was nice and spacious.

GermanyThere was a note stating that the water on the desk in the room needed to be paid for, I didn’t notice it—my mistake! However, €4 for a bottle of water that tasted quite old (and from which I only took a single sip) feels quite expensive, especially since most hotels offer a complimentary bottle. The breakfast was also quite pricey for what was provided. To start with, it wasn’t in the designated room, which left me wandering around the first floor in confusion 😂 Unfortunately, there were very few vegetarian or vegan options, even though I specifically asked about them the night before. I was simply told, "Yep, it’s a buffet." I didn’t realize this meant I’d have to choose between meat, animal products, and… cucumbers. For a hotel in Berlin, that’s rather disappointing, and in the end, I essentially paid €16.90 for some veggies and an egg(an egg I'd usually not eat.
The hotel has a charming, slightly old-timey appeal with a strong 1920s aesthetic, which I absolutely love. The staff is very friendly, and although I occasionally had trouble communicating due to language barriers, these were usually resolved quickly. The walls are a bit thin, but the rooms are quite cozy—though they feel a little sparse in terms of decor. The service is fast, check-in was easy, and there are great travel options nearby, making it convenient to get around.

United KingdomThe hotel is old and they were having a renovation when I stayed. My room does need a makeover. There was no ceiling light and the heating didn't really work. The room was rather cold.
The location is convenient and it is comparative cheaper than other hotels. It is more and more difficult to find a reasonably priced hotel in Berlin.

GeorgiaI arrived about 40 minutes before check-in, because I had luggage and was going to wait at the entrance, when I arrived they offered me to pay for early check-in, which is unacceptable to me in principle, if my room is ready why should I pay extra? In my opinion, the people at the reception are very rude. The room is very noisy, every word from the neighbors' room could be heard word for word and it is very uncomfortable. I don't understand why this hotel has such a high rating on Booking.
The linen and bathroom were clean, and the location is also very good.

UkraineThe room still had a nice atmosphere of old things, the bed was comfortable and bathroom was pleasant. We had a calm night rest here and delicious while a bit overpriced breakfast. Communication with the staff was a bit awkward. They offering a bottle of water in the room, you can drink it and pay for it. It's was in a fancy bottle and cost €4, not too expensive, but it was the worst water taste I ever had :D Probably I just didn't get it, sorry guys :) It was a ton of dust on our lamps, but everything else was clean. Fixing works are ongoing and they didn't even tried to hide it, you can see a room with a pile of building materials on your way to your room.

FinlandThere were little noises because of the renervatuion but it didnt bother us a lot. Little outdatet public spaces but at the same time i kind of liked it. Basic hotel but cosy.
Location is good, there is a U- and tram stop very near. Easy to use public transport. I liked the room, we got a little bigger room with a nice wiew/ window outside. The room was comfortable and spacious. Room was clean. There is a renervation going on so public premises were littlr outdated but it didn’t disturbe me. There was a coffeemacine, it was nice. We didnt take breakfast.
