Lighting in the room was poor. Too dim to read a book at night without using cell phone or flashlight for illumination. Only two small recessed lamps in the ceiling and no table lamps. But this is just a small niggle in an otherwise very good package.

My daughter and I spent a pleasant 5 nights here. We probably wouldn’t have booked at this location and hotel if we’d had more time before our trip, but at very short notice it was the only hotel available in the area with two beds per room. But it worked out very well and was excellent value for money. Friendly and efficient staff, nice comfy clean room. Right by Hermosa Beach. The shower in the room was fantastic - better than we’ve got at home. Great (free) breakfasts too. The pool was excellent and with the beach just across the road we had good views of sunsets from our balcony. The ocean at the beach is no good for weak swimmers or children due to strong undertow, but lovely smooth sand to walk on and and fine to wade in to the water if you don’t go in any further than standing depth. Several good restaurants 20 minutes walk away.

The pool didn't appear clean, it was overused. The level of guest dog ownership, was too high, and not controlled by the staff, unless complaints registered by other guests. The breakfast was boring.

Only thing we didn't like was that, our beeds only had one bed sheet and there were no blankets or something to really cover.

The parking area is the weak spot, I found a car with an open window in the parking outside the property and there was no security guard in place watching over the vehicles. I ended up reporting the issue at the front desk. Need to improve the internet connection in rooms. My room phone never worked. It was reported, but, TV and phone worked from fiber optic, so to make the TV Work they had to disconnect the phone. Bar is kind of pricy.

In general, all staff was friendly, respectful and super willing to help. I would recommend to have small coffee makers in rooms. All food was super tasty, Great cooking. My wife and I worked in tourism bussiness for over 10 years in Costa Rica and know how to detect diferent levels of service and quality in hotels.

Rooms could have a suitcase rack. Very minimal accommodations and the beds could be queen instead of just doubles. Beds were old and could use updating as a couple will roll into the middle.

Love the location and the breakfast was exceptional for local cuisine. Perfect for surfing at the top surf beach in CR!

The American breakfast was not the greatest. The "orange juice" tasted like Tang or a dry mix with water. The eggs had a strange taste and the toast needed to be toasted longer.

This hotel is located across the street from the beach. In less than a minute, you are on the beach enjoying the spectacular waves and awesome sunsets. The rooms are very large and well maintained. Housekeeping did a great job of keeping everything clean. The WiFi was very easy to connect to and had decent connection speed.

No pool towels. I went to exchange them and the people from front desk only had 2 left. One guy from front desk was super rude and didn’t want to help. There are no blankets in the room. Restaurant prices are high.

They were super nice, breakfast was good and it was in front of the beach. The snacks menu was really good. The pool was super clean. They let us bring our own drinks to the pool area.

The closest restaurant is 20-30 mins walk. The staff were miserable most of the time and the breakfast could have been a little more varied.

Run down, noisy, an off location, very simple breakfast. A not so safe pool. Simple and damp rooms, that don’t smell fresh. The pictures much have been taken in better times. Definitely not worth a 8.1 booking.com rating!

I would not classify this as a hotel but as a hostel. Staff was friendly, but I would say this is the only positive comment I have. The hotel needs urgent renovation and more thorough cleaning. The beds were not comfortable and need new mattresses and framing.

Location is not in Jacó beach as it was described in the website, also it is mentioned that on weekends they offer breakfast buffet which was not true, we had only 3 options for it (americano, continental and típico). Room was clean, TV remote control did not work accordingly, toilet paper holder was uncomfortable to remove toilet paper. Also the road to arrive there was very bumpy.

The building is run-down, at least from the outside. There are no chairs available for the beach, and overall the facilities appear neglected. The service is not very friendly, and they even denied having one of the meals, only to confirm later that same day that it was available. Additionally, the food is expensive and not really that good, including the breakfast. It also does not live up to what you would expect from a 4-star hotel.

Is not located in HACO, abkit a 10-15 minute drive away. There was no hot water, place needed to be cleaned a bit better, no microwave or fridge. The room had an old ac unit that was left in the ceiling. But they had a new one, and a joint door to another room was drywalled in a lot of DYI renovations. Beds, you could feel the springs and pillows were not that comfy. Lots of noise echo from hallway, a place mote for young party people. We got 1 sheet and a small throw blanket for each bed. Location was tough to find, google sends you way past it down the road.

Food was good, the staff was friendly and helpful, warm clean pool, they provided microfiber towels. There was air conditioning and breakfast was good.

When we arrived to the room and opened the door, in the bathroom, a huge, like 10 centimeters long cockroach was walking! It was so disgusting! After that we got another room but we we’re afraid the hole night.

Good traditional breakfast and the ocean is very close. The receptionist was nice and helped us with the room issue and also with the delay.

Rooms needed updating, outlets were coming out of the wall, no mirrors or ironing board, no place to hang towels/clothes. Wish breakfast was also served during the week.

Rooms were a little dirty and run down. Bathroom was super small and couldn't get completely in front of sink if the door was open because it got stuck on the floor. Noise was an issue, which wasn't all their fault but the walls are paper thin.
