It was an absolute dream, as charming and full of character as the streets of Rome and its warm, welcoming locals. From the moment I arrived, I felt embraced by the hotel’s cozy elegance and the kind hospitality of its staff. The buffet breakfast each morning was a delightful part of my stay. The location is ideal, just a short 15-20 minute metro or bus ride to all the major tourist attractions.

The location was perfect—super central and easy to get around. The room was simple, clean, and had everything I needed. The bed was really comfy, and the little balcony was such a nice bonus! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even better. The only downside? The elevator is definitely showing its age—but hey, it still works (with a bit of character). Overall, a solid stay!

Favorite spots were around the Coliseum area, enjoyed the lights at night. We tried to eat at places away from tourist spots in order to get local food. However, we ate at the Hard Rock Cafe once because my grandson collects Hard Rock hoodies. Food was good wherever we ate. Did not eat near train station. Had gelato once+ a day. Staying near Termini makes it very easy to travel via subway. My grandson is 18 years old; so he and I both enjoyed the tourist/cultural sights. Worst thing about our trip was the breakfast in the Vatican Garden. We were seated in an isolated place; were not served with rest of our group and had only 10 minutes to eat--were virtually ignored. Eggs and very thick bacon not eatable. No pastry or fruit; reception host/man was very rude when I told him we had not been served. Rest of our group had eaten. Did not even acknowledge me. This event is acceptable only because there seemed to be fewer people in the Sistine Chapel, which was part of the tour, than when I was there a few years ago. I was really looking forward to the Vatican breakfast, so I was extremely disappointed. Everything in Rome was crowded because of summer and the Vatican Jubilee. However, trip was a graduation present for my grandson, so the timing was the best for us. We went to Florence, Pisa, Positano, and Pompeii, also. Better to travel during shoulder season. All in all, trip was really nice! I reconnected with my grandson and had a lovely time overall.

This is not a tourist place nor a beach place.

This is not a tourist place nor a beach place. There is a pleasant walk along the river towards the sea, some restaurants along the fishing quays, but above all it is a place to overnight while passing through Fiumicino airport. So pick something inexpensive with easy access to and from the airport. Choose one on the bus line and it costs almost nothing. Shuttles can usually be arranged but at a price. Some hosts will pickup and return guests to the airport for a small fee. There ae taxi services, but be wary, some way overcharge. We were quoted roughly 50 euro one-way for a taxi pickup; we took the bus for 3 euro. Our hotel host drove us back for 20.

A bit of a military town (nato and US frigates, etc) but I think Gaeta has something for everyone. Great community, historical sights, and an amazing park with ruins and tunnels. It did cost me 25€ to get to my hotel from the train station, but I was told by locals this was a fair price,

Our stay was absolutely wonderful — we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The apartment is in a perfect location — ideal both for day trips outside central Ostia and for easy access to the beach, which is just a 10-minute walk away. The beaches were clean and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing. The flat is fully equipped with everything you might need, including an iron — a detail I really appreciated. We were warmly welcomed with bottled drinking water in the fridge, coffee, and some small snacks — a lovely touch. Communication with the host was excellent — friendly, responsive, and reliable throughout our stay. You can’t go wrong with food anywhere you choose — after all, it's Italy! We had a fantastic time and truly appreciated the warm welcome.

We were in Terracina the last two weeks of June.

We were in Terracina the last two weeks of June. We experienced a local feel with few tourists. the old town is fantastic. We rented electric bikes, which is recommended. Then you can get around easily. A trip up to the temple went like a dream in the heat. We also cycled out to the Cantina Sant'Andrea winery. It took approx. one hour one way. A wonderful trip and a great visit where we tasted many good wines. One should also enter a trip to Ponza. The ferry departs from the city centre. An incredibly cozy island. We chose to rent a boat when we were out there, so that we could take a trip to the outside of the island and swim in the crystal clear water. It was magical! We only took a day trip, but we should have included an overnight stay at Ponza.

We liked the most the place was very calm, no noise. You can easily find local restaurants with reasonable prices or can go to Anzio city to find more sophisticated restaurants. It is better to have a car as the sea is approximately 50 min. by walk.
