The hotel was excellent. The staff were professional.
The hotel was excellent. The staff were professional. Some of the wait staff seemed to be impatient and stressed. Not that friendly. Bar staff were very good, informative and friendly. I ate at the hotel. Getting around was easy by bus, walking or driving. Waterford Factory tour, the Tower, Cathedrals, other attractions.Guest review byGentlemanmackUnited States - 10.0

This was so much better than staying 20 min up the road in Waterford. Lovely little village with a harbour and beautiful driving around this area. We came through Kilkenny, Waterford and the tiny picturesque old village of Inistioge. Inistioge was a gem, beautiful little coffee and photo stop on the way. Dungarvan had loads of good restaurants and cute pubs, however, in March things were shutting for a meal early, around 7.30pm. Go out early for dinner, or you will end up with takeaway. There are a few of these options. Good provision shopping here also with an Aldi and shopping centre.Guest review byNunn - 10.0

Moorings by the Sea is an exceptional choice for a family holiday! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our wonderful hostess, who kindly informed us in advance about upcoming roadworks that would limit access to the property. This thoughtful communication was greatly appreciated and made our arrival smooth and stress-free. The house itself is immaculate and well-maintained, with incredibly comfortable beds that ensured we had restful nights. The location is simply perfect—just a 20-minute walk to the vibrant Tramore strip and a mere 10 minutes to the town center. Plus, having a bus stop right outside the door made exploring Waterford city a breeze, with buses running every 30 minutes. Overall, I would give Moorings by the Sea a well-deserved 5-star rating! It’s an ideal spot for families looking to enjoy a relaxing and convenient getaway. Highly recommended!Guest review byElaineIreland - 10.0

We only spent one day in Ardmore itself as there is so much else to do close by..but Ardmore had a nice beach and playground and also has St Declans well which is nice to visit. We got food from the local shop and had a picnic on the beach so I can't comment on cafes/ restaurants. It had a little shop with a small selection of cheap toys which was just what the kids wanted so all good.Guest review byMartinaIreland - 10.0

The property is an excellent base for travellers.
The property is an excellent base for travellers. It's on the Copper Coast with good road links to the coast of Waterford County. The host was lovely. There was tea, coffee and sugar supplied as well as bottled sparkling and still water. A lovely touch too, was the box of Quality Street. We had an evening meal in the pub next door (The Engine Room) which was delicious and good value for money.Guest review byAngelaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Village was perfectly situated to visit Dungarvan and Waterford city. Very near to beautiful Stradbally Cove. Decent Chinese in the village, two shops which open late and three pubs which are only open on certain days. One cafe only open in the day and a restaurant which again only opens on certain days. Exceptionally friendly and welcoming locals.Guest review byNICHOLAUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lovely heritage town with loads of history, imposing castle and beautiful river walks! Only one restaurant open past 4pm, a few nice cafes, but generally not many possibilities for food in the evening.Guest review byClaudiaIreland - 8.0

We enjoyed a most interesting and entertaining walk around the main historical sights with Jack (2 walks daily) Other walks along the river waterfront - will be even more attractive when contruction work is completed - hopefully soon. A good range of shops around the busy and vibrant shopping and cultural area. An excellent and extensive Greenway for cyclists and walkers along the former railway coastal route. That will be for our next visit!Guest review byValerieUnited Kingdom
