Food (Breakfast) and Dinner (ordered ala carte off the lunch menu ahead of time) was excellent. Loved the honor bar for cocktails. Loved the cozy rooms and warm fires in the fireplace. Loved being able to take a short walk around the property on an established trail. Room was very comfortable. Staff was very attentive and accommodating - highly recommend!

The location was glorious. The view of the bay from our window was breathtaking. The location, near Connemara Park was very convenient. Also very close to Clifden, Roundstone the coastline made it easy to get to the main tourist sites in the area. The manor itself was all that we hoped for and more. The very comfortable greenhouse style lounge was a great place to hang out after touring, or before dinner. There were several lovely rooms to sit in and relax or socialize when not in your room. The decor in the dining room was tasteful and the food was amazing. The room was quite spacious and comfortable, and the staff was very courteous and very helpful. Roseleague Manor was a highlight of our visit to Ireland!

From the moment I arrived at Abbyglen Castle, I was enveloped by its serene charm and breathtaking views. The location itself is nothing short of magical, offering a peaceful retreat surrounded by stunning landscapes that take your breath away. It’s clear that the owners have poured so much care and love into the property. Every corner of the castle reflects attention to detail, from the cozy interiors to the meticulously kept grounds. The atmosphere here feels so inviting, making it easy to relax and unwind. There is a wonderful sense of peace that surrounds the entire place, making it a perfect getaway for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. What sets this place apart, however, is Brian, the owner. He has a special gift for making everyone feel like family. His ability to entertain and bring guests together is unmatched, and it’s obvious he loves what he does. He shows genuine interest and takes the time to get to know each person, ensuring everyone feels included and at home. To top it off, he’s an incredibly talented piano player and singer, adding a personal touch with live performances that create an unforgettable atmosphere. His warmth and musical talent elevate the experience, making you feel like you’re staying with an old friend.

Clifden is a small but mighty town in west of Ireland. Some great pubs with fantastic live music in the evenings and nighttime. Must mention Ravis and Lowrys in particular. Only downside is very little options for breakfast earlier than 9.30/10am at weekends which surprised us!

It's a lovely quiet village and the people are very friendly. We had a really nice time in the local pub meeting up with some of my husband's relatives. Although it rained a lot while we were there it didn't dampen our mood.

Hasn’t changed since childhood holidays 48 years ago! People still very friendly and welcoming. Love the quick wit and sense of humour. Great village-style choice of pubs, food shopping, restaurants and gift shops. Sense of a real and supportive community. Everyone flexible and willing to help. Easy access from village to multiple sports and beautiful views.

It is a beautiful village on what feels like the edge of the world, surrounded by beautiful beaches, wonderful nature colours in a perfect setting. Perfect for group, family or solo trips. Great variety of pubs and eating choices in Roundstone village itself. I will be back for another visit and I will recommend to my friends too. Its a long drive over from Dublin but 100% worth it

What a wonderful place to visit.

What a wonderful place to visit. Stunning views, beautiful walks very well mapped out. The most unbelievable landscape with fabulous beaches. Very friendly natives, it made me realise just how beautiful Ireland is and all it has to offer. I would encourage more people to holiday in Ireland. Very easy to get around the island and some lovely restaurants. People of Inishboffin could not be more helpful. Some great activities from Sauna, Hot Tubs. Great Bike hire. I would definitely go back.

Loved the area, views, beaches especially when portable toilets nearby. One beach had sinking sand so unable to walk along the edge due to a shoulder injury. A bit disappointed with the food options. We have a daughter who is gluten, dairy and nut free. Salads were offered and steak, which is expensive. Very upsetting 😡 Overall staff did try their best. Keogh pub was able to provide chips, burger and bacon and cabbage 😋 very bad network in areas. Shops were good. Supervalu had the gf, df options in clifden. We didn't get good weather 😕 but worth a visit
