Well located for our purposes, close to the Schwimm und Sporthalle. The trams are a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, very comfortable and well appointed. House keeping was good and consistent. The ambience of the hotel is great. I loved having a decent gym to use.

    The museums on Museum Island are very good as are a number...

    The museums on Museum Island are very good as are a number of other museums some of which are free to enter. Public transport around the city is well organised, reliable and reasonably priced. A trip to the Bundestag is well worth a visit but, free entry must be booked online a number of weeks in advance. There are several very nice parks in Berlin well worth walking or cycling through. Potsdam is worth a day trip with a visit to its nearby Sanssouci Park and its palaces. A visit to Sachsenhausen concentration camp is probably also worth making if you have available time but, I would recommend taking a guided tour for this trip as I found my lack of knowledge of the infrequent weekend local bus network resulted in my taking an unplanned very long walk.

    Car parking very limited, and fee charged to use hotel car park, 14 euros a night, despite being a guest. They are very hot on fining for parking if you exceed the time restrictions on adjacent streets if you don’t use hotel car park.

    Close enough to Berlin for a short journey into the city, so ideal to base yourself there and take the train into Berlin central. Plenty of cultural places to visit in this historical town/suburb of Berlin. Good choice of restaurants, although I was confused as to why so many close 21:00 weekdays.

    During the summer and spring brightens up a lot, and can be very vibrant during the weekend. During winter it is cold, gray and dead. The city is surprisingly international for its dimension, offering a wide assortment of restaurants. Don't expect much from the restaurants in terms of variety and quality. The museums are very cute, focusing on the message rather than bombard you with pieces. It is a good base for further exploration of the surrounding area. I would recommend the Slawenburg at Raddusch, Lübbenau, the Therms at Burg, Kromlau, which are easily reachable by car, and also reachable by public transportation (not as easily though). Let's be blunt, Cottbus is not a place that people go to just because. It is not a particularly interesting or beautiful city.

    We loved Brandenburg an der Havel, our 10-day stay was a perfect length of time to attend the rowing and sight see. The town is easy to walk or get the tram. Great friendly people, good food and a lovely town. Really enjoyed walking around and exploring.

    Beautiful town in Spreewald.

    Beautiful town in Spreewald. We were only 3 days there and it was far from enough. Arrive in the midlle of week, there will be fewer tourists. Go for a breakfast to Bubner, visit the City museum, and of course go kayaking!

    The Schloss is very photogenic and well worth exploring. We were attending an opera performance in the theatre which is a first-class venue. There is a good choice of restaurants in the town. We also hired bikes to explore the countryside of Mark.

    Charming city on the Oder river where you can walk across...

    Charming city on the Oder river where you can walk across the bridge to Poland and explore its twin town on the Polish side. Food cheap food go to the Polish side and for charm and great German beer stay on the German side. Definitely worth a long weekend visit.

    Everything was just right save that there is no economic activity on Sundays. I had only 3 days. on the 1st day i arrived late, the 1st full day was a Sunday with no economic activity. in essence i had only one day to explore. But I would desire to go back. Berlin Mall is where I spent the only day that was available
