Great place to visit for shopping in Paraguay.
Great place to visit for shopping in Paraguay. Wining and dining both in Brazil and Argentina and of course the Waterfalls and Itaipu hydroelectric dam are the basics, but there is a lot more. Unfortunately we had only three days to spend there.Guest review byTimoBrazil - 10.0

One of the top cities in Brazil in regards of security, cleanness, traffic, and parks. Does not have all ammenities as big cities, such as 24 hour delivery (is hard to find anything after midnight). But is sure a great place to be,Guest review byMarco AntonioBrazil - 2.0
Everything else: 1.
Everything else: 1. We checked in close to 4pm, even the checkin time was 2pm. Yes, they didn't have the room we asked for (at the highest floor), even though they had PLENTY of rooms available on 5th floor and 5th floor. Some of my acquantancies stayed on these floor. 2. The free internet was a HELL to get, through a very complicated process..... 3. They called my room VERY LATE AT NIGHT,saying that they had schedule a DINNER in our room....WRONG NUMBER. 4. Due to the dinner apparently scheduled to take place in OUR FLOOR or on TOP of us, the spent the ENTIRE afternoon dragging furniture all over the places, dropping stuff, etc. STAYING IN OUR ROOM WAS A HELL!!!!Guest review byRosemarieCanada - 10.0

IT IS A CITY THAT HAS A BEACH, COMPARED TO THE BEACHES IN THE STATE OF PARANÁ, IT IS A GREAT BEACH, IT HAS SAFETY WITH MANY POLICE OFFICERS AND MANY LIFEGUARDS ON THE BEACH. IT HAS GOOD SUPERMARKETS, A MAGNIFICENT SIDEWALK FOR WALKING AND RUNNING BY THE SEA AND SOME TOURIST ATTRACTIONS TO VISIT ON FOOT. I PARTICULARLY LIKE IT A LOT.Guest review byALESSANDRO - 10.0
My First Time meet Curitiba City
My First Time meet Curitiba City When I found out that two of my favorite American punk rock/HC bands, Circle Jerkys and Descendents, were going to tour Brazil, but they wouldn't be playing shows in my city, I knew I had to travel to see them. There was a date scheduled for São Paulo and another for Curitiba, but due to the situation at the airports due to the flooding that year, I decided to buy a ticket for Curitiba because of the price less, proximity and lower demand. In October, when Salgado Filho Airport reopened, I didn't waste any time and bought a ticket, then booked a hotel. I've always been curious about the city of Curitiba, because it seemed like a cool, cultural and organized city, in addition to having a strong skateboarding and underground culture. The day before the show, I traveled and when I arrived I met a friend who had come by bus. After checking into the hotel, we decided to walk to a famous local skate park, so that we could get to know the city better. Curitiba is similar to Porto Alegre in some ways, it's a big city but with the structure of a small town, the places are relatively close together and it has lots of trees, but it's more organized, clean and apparently safer. The people are very friendly and the local food is delicious. One day I went to the municipal market and ate "carne de onça", a typical dish made with seasoned raw meat, and I liked it "lol". There are also many influences from Arab and Oriental cuisine, and there are several restaurants that specialize in it. The night of the show was incredible, the place was as big as a shopping mall, with food trucks, shops and a tattoo studio (I even got one "lol") and watching these two embryonic bands of my lifestyle was amazing. I came back fulfilled, with the certainty that I will return another time.Guest review byThiagoBrazil - 8.0

3 days to see both sides of the waterfalls and to enjoy the regions other attractions is a little short. Especially with the wait times to cross the border. We did 4 border crossings in 3 days and it was painful. It consumed too much time. To see both sides of the waterfalls and to do one or two other activities and give enough time to relax and enjoy a resort/hotel you really need at least 4 days. Lastly, prepare for crowds or people at the Falls and very long wait times everywhere. Also careful with the parks guides. They're sales people for the tours and will lie to sell you a ticket.Guest review byStephenAustralia - 4.0
Give the place a miss.
Give the place a miss. Some interesting architecture but it’s fairly grim, run down, derelict in lots of areas and clearly needs massive investment especially to help the homeless there. On a Sunday the city is closed.Guest review byJeffreyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It is a magical place.
It is a magical place. We could have stood for hours watching the water thunder over the edge. The nature reserves both on the Brazil and Argentinian side are wonderful. Plenty to do there, short walks to explore the falls and good options for food. We spent 2 days there, one on the Argentinian side and one on the Brazilian side. Both hade their own charms. Highly recommend the boat trip to and under the falls. It's thrilling. Note: one is taken under one of the smaller falls, and can see the main falls only from a distance. I don't think it is possible to get up close to the main falls by boat. But even going under a smaller fall was absolutely thrilling, one could feel the power of nature.Guest review byColinBrazil
